Probably 3 poor defensive games, 2 of which we won…and the UF game had its moments. The USCe was a bad game, and if that goes differently, this isn’t even a discussion.

We in no way shape or form were a “really good defense” this year.

They don't bother me. You want him to say, "the only thing that sucks worse than our secondary is our linebackers"? Anything other than that or "no comment" is going to be sugar coated or deflectionary coach speak.

The defensive line is solid. They defend the run well, but that's about all they do.

When they get pressure on the QB, the secondary looks a lot better than they are. LSU game was a good example of this, but they have been extremely inconsistent at getting pressure. If we hope to come away with a win against Clemson, this will be the key to the game IMO. We will also have to run the ball well too.

He needs to take responsibility with us needing to get better, that’s all.

I’m surprised we were around top 1/3 in points for defense. I feel like we don’t have too far to go if our offense stays so good

Sorry, it does. When we score more, it causes the opponent to throw more. It’s not difficult. Volume stats with our offense is not a good measure. The numbers are there to see.

Of course the secondary looks better with pressure. It’s required to have a good secondary. It goes hand in hand. No secondary is that good to give a QB all the time.

Funny story…when I earned my first NCOoty award at Elgin I was proud. Shined my shoes fer 2 hours. Dress Blues and Rack perfect. My supervisor and his somehow got The jump On Tennessee ( ‘‘twas the last Time
