Tim Irwin not a happy camper

If anyone can pick out a dumb post, I'd defer to you.

" Hey guys, Tim is upset with our effort" caveman voice "F him, not many bowl game"
You're going all in on defending him. That's cool. Maybe I deserve some backlash for the comment, but I would rather him talk about our lack of execution and timing than our "effort".

Everyone was picking Georgia, and rightly so

Yes I am and yes you do. And to clarify I said effort, Tim actually said out coached and he's 100% correct.

Tim Irwin ripping the DL and Banks a new one
completely outcoached and outplayed. No pressure, no sacks and not ONE hurry.

UGA scored on exactly the same tackle eligible play UK did. Was as if Stoops called Kirby and said hey run this play they can never cover it.

Ever since the hobnail boot game we have made every UGA TE look like Travis Kelce.
He ain’t wrong. No question the game was lost when we couldn’t get pressure on Beck.

Our CBs did pretty well in man. It was more about LBs and safeties getting lost in coverage.

One game isn't a regression
This^^^^^

Why cant the average fan not see that our safeties and LB’s cannot cover when isolated on a TE or WR. The LB’s are young and hopefully improve and while Will Brook’s has been our savior at times this year he got exposed last night by Bobo.

Didn't say he was wrong
99% of the time if youre throwing out the F bomb on someone and trashing their playing time it means, in much more classy way, "I do not agree with your premise as your performance history does not translate to a winning formula"

the other 1% is he's whining cause words hurt and it makes him cry

you pick it

Very true but how did they block Pierce so well they almost made him a non factor. We were simply out coached last night. Beck’s a good QB when he has time. We all knew we had to do whatever it took to rattle his cage. All except Banks it seems.

Bottom line is their OC took advantage of a walk-on safety and our young LB’s not much more to say than that.

I will add that most are giving the offense a pass but you are not going to win many games on the road in the SEC scoring 17 points.
Gotta take the lid off the defense, especially in Heup’s scheme.

Disappointing we lost the matchup of our DL vs. their OL.

The Dlines lack of pressure was because BoBo got it out of Beck's hands super quickly. I wish we could have made an adjustment to stop that but...we didnt have the answer
Maybe, but I seem to notice several plays where it looked Beck was taking a damn coffee break in the pocket. Hell, there were plays where he appeared go thru all his progressions and then start over. No push. Very little to no blitzing. NO pressure at all.

Not saying what the outcome should've/would've been, but the defense I saw last night looked unrecognizable from the one I've been watching all year.

Doug Mathews this morning said there’s a problem with recruiting and coaching offensive linemen. Hard to avoid the obvious.
AND, after hearing for weeks how bad Carson Beck was under pressure, why didn’t Tim Banks pressure him with stunts and blitzes?

Multiple times he would bring a delayed blitz by the linebacker, but by that point their offensive line had created a pretty good human wall and Beck had plenty of time. I thought the corners played decent, but they can’t hold coverage forever. Especially when you take into account that on several of those passes Delp was the final read. You can’t let a quarterback have enough time to go through every read.

I agree they should’ve mixed up the blitz packages more, but honestly, like many fans I think Banks saw what ole miss did do Georgia’s oline and thought we could get pressure with just the front 4. Obviously, we know now that Georgia just had a bad game against ole miss and that their Oline is pretty stout.

Bright lights were on, nationwide television audience was tuned in and Tennessee coaching staff was exposed on both sides of the ball, with no answers after any of the Georgia adjustments, no points or trips into the red zone in the second half, the momentum moved when we wasted a nice punt return in the first half, netting only a very long field goal from the effort.

Lots of penalties on the offensive and defensive lines, but the overall capability of the staff is fair game 4 years into the Heupel era, with the offense sputtering in SEC games, defense falling apart in a pivotal game, Georgia was on the ropes, pulled out all the stops, Tennessee was still traveling on a soft conference schedule, essentially stopped themselves most of the night with bad alignments, bad coverages, very few breaks that went their way, but they'll do better than last years 9-4, 4-4 conference record, but winning on the road in the SEC is what seperates the top tier teams from everybody else, also what seperates the coaching staffs of the top tier teams from everybody else's staff.

Heupel is still a work in progress (as is Nico as well), he has some very weak links in his coaching ranks, whether or not he does anything about it is between him and White Danny, but Heupel himself would be bettered by having people on the staff not named Willie Martinez that have solid SEC football coaching, teaching, training and recruiting experience.

It became obvious pretty early on that we weren’t going to get it done with our front 4. Banks’ inability to see that is problematic.
