Tim Tebow Gets Told By a Player

The issue isn't just about religion, it is about a guy that has been the big man on campus for a long time that has had people do what he wants. He ain't "superman" anymore and he needs to realize this.

It also demonstrates that ones religiousness is a personal matter and it should be kept that way. Quite frankly it was extremely arrogant for him to lead a group prayer with a bunch of guys he knows nothing about.

the love of God, is intended to be shared, in the Christian religion. how is it possibly arrogant to lead a simple prayer? its a prayer. nothing more. the sad truth is that everybody in that room will probably be saying a prayer when they tear their ACL or when they get cut from a team, and are scared to death they wont get picked up by another team. the guy that said that, or anyone else there, didnt have to participate in the prayer, but making a statement like that really reflects a lack of character.

Say what you will but Tim Tebow is legit man, as much as I dislike him as a player(only for whooping us every year) I can see he honestly means what he says and he is using his celebrity status to further the truth of God. He is not just doing this so everyone thinks he is little mr. perfect. He truly believes and is convicted by this and because of that I respect him and share his beliefs and convictions. If that person didnt want to pray before the test all that was need was to walk away, simply walk away. Telling Tebow to "Shut the f--k up" was classes. With Tebow getting this kind of rap he will probably become one of my favorite players(even tho getting past his college years probably wont be easy for me).
I wholeheartedly agree with this.

"Ban" gay marriage? Wouldn't it have to be legal before it could be "banned"? Whether you believe in God or not, there is still right and wrong. And whether you want to believe it or not, our country was founded as a Christian nation. Allow me to demonstrate:

Benjamin Franklin: | Portrait of Ben Franklin
“ God governs in the affairs of man. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without his notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without His aid? We have been assured in the Sacred Writings that except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it. I firmly believe this. I also believe that, without His concurring aid, we shall succeed in this political building no better than the builders of Babel”

John Adams and John Hancock:
We Recognize No Sovereign but God, and no King but Jesus! [April 18, 1775]

Patrick Henry:
"Orator of the Revolution."
• This is all the inheritance I can give my dear family. The religion of Christ can give them one which will make them rich indeed.”
—The Last Will and Testament of Patrick Henry

Thomas Jefferson:
“ The doctrines of Jesus are simple, and tend to all the happiness of man.”

“Of all the systems of morality, ancient or modern which have come under my observation, none appears to me so pure as that of Jesus.”

"I am a real Christian, that is to say, a disciple of the doctrines of Jesus."

Thomas Paine:
“ It has been the error of the schools to teach astronomy, and all the other sciences, and subjects of natural philosophy, as accomplishments only; whereas they should be taught theologically, or with reference to the Being who is the author of them: for all the principles of science are of divine origin. Man cannot make, or invent, or contrive principles: he can only discover them; and he ought to look through the discovery to the Author.”

I hope that is enough to help you understand how we have gone to hell in a handbasket. But then again, you're probably much smarter than the greatest thinkers of recent human history right? I'm sure you know more about freedom and liberty than those old farts any day of the week... All sarcasm aside, I'd like to hear exactly why you hate religion so bad...

Amen!

I agree . All the guy had to do was walk away or not participate.

The Prayer:

"God, please let this test be as easy to beat as the University of Tennessee."

I think it was more like "Please God let me be the one QB from Florida to actually accomplish something in the NFL."God then said to Tebow, "Timmy, you know that Florida quarterback, pass and NFL don't go together in the same sentence."

Not seeing where this would be considered arrogant.

I can but hey, that's just me. Just like if he was about to purchase a car and they were going to run his credit score and he asked the whole dealership to bow their heads and pray. Time and place for most things. Was the guy an ass for saying, "Shut the F* up", yes.

Timmy doesn't sound too smart. All of his interviews sound coached and rehearsed. "I work hard and do what the coaches tell me." "I will just work harder and harder, God bless." If the guy does this badly on the wonderlick test, how can he comprehend a complex playbook. He already has a slow release and is late on his reads. I am tired of hearing about him. I hope he just goes away. There is no way he is an NFL qb.

I would be. I am a Tebow fan now that he doesn't get 24/7 media love and isn't wearing orange and blue.

The first time he's sacked in the NFL (that is IF he even makes it that far), the sacker needs to give him a personalized Austin 3:16 speech.

"The first thing I want to have done is to get that piece of crap off my field. Just don't get him off the field, get him out of the NFL. You sit there, and you thump your Bible, and you say your prayers, and it didn't get you anywhere. Talk about your Psalms, talk about John 3:16. Freeney 3:16 says I just whipped your @$$."
