Defense and special teams are better than last year. Offense is held back by QB play. To this point equal to talent level. Look the real games to judge this team on are the last 4. We will lose ugly the next 3 weeks because we just don't have a QB that can help level the playing field. If Vols beat Vandy, Ky, Auburn and Missouri then the coaches will have done the maximum they could with this team. We all just have to hope at some point the light goes on for Worley and he plays a complete clean game. He shows you he can do it like on the TD pass to Josh Smith and 3rd and 15 throw to Croom. Those were great throws. He needs to be consistent. Jury is still out on if he can.
No chance vs Ga, Ala and SCar. Slim chance vs Auburn, 50/50 chance vs Mizzou and Vandy, 60/40 chance vs Ky.
I agree on Ga and Ala, but surely we have a slim chance against Scar. Vandy and KY should be wins with about 50/50 on Auburn and Mizzou. I believe we end up 6-6 with a slim possibility of 7-5. If Butch can't get 6 wins, we are in serious trouble in the years to come.
Why do we have a slim chance against SC? And why is Vandy a should be win?
Tennessee is struggling and honestly if we had a qb who could control the ball better we wouldn't be sitting where we are right now. I knew we didn't stand a chance against Oregon but I said before the season that out of all the ranked teams we played our biggest chance of beating a good team would be Florida and we should have won that game...

It's not the 90s. We don't have elite talent. Crap, we don't have avg sec talent and no depth.
I am sooooo sick of hearing how we SHOULD have beat Florida. Dangit. 9 yrs in a row now?
I still have the last win vs them on vhs tape. Wasn't it the final Fulmer Spurrier matchup at the Swamp?
That was such a great freaking game.
Seems like many years ago...cuz it was.
