Tiny houses

If you want to see tiny houses come to England. I could buy a freaking three floor villa with a massive swimming pool in the States for the same mortgage I have on my P.O.S house.

yeah those are awesome.

the reality is that trailers of all sorts have perfected the use of space so the tiny house thing (especially the mobile ones) is just weird to me.

I could live on a tiny house on a spot of land in the woods. Do most of the cooking outside sleep inside works in the woods but i see no benefit in moving it.

There are times when I just want to ditch all my responsibilities, get a green card and move somewhere like the hills of Idaho in a small shack and spend my days shooting things and watching sports.

true of many places in the US. The reality is that in all but a few states in the NE, all the states have massive amounts of wilderness.

NY, Vermont, New Hampshire all have skiing. Not Rockies or Continental Divide quality skiing but certainly legit skiing.

Hell, I lived in Chicago area for a while and 2 places in the suburbs had ski hills. If you've ever been to Chicago you'd realize how odd that is (flatsville)

Or you could barely afford a 1-bedroom apartment. The "states" is a big place and housing various greatly

I did 1200sq ft with a wife and 2 small kids. Not sure I could go smaller and stay sane but it did force us to get out of the house often

I'm looking at some land near my sister that's pretty cheap. And putting a tiny house on it so I can visit for a weekend. And use it as a hunting cabin. I could get into the tiny house thing. But I have 4 kids. No gonna happen full time.

I built a Very nice 10/14 small man cave a couple of years ago.. I've had several family members come stay in it and love it! Now I'm moving it into the great state of Tennessee! I'm gonna live in it until I save money up to buy land, then I'm gonna build a house out of it! It's got a bar, flat screen hung on the wall, dart board, even have a hammock in that mofo!!! The whole 9 y'all

I like our little starter house. Been in it 13 years. Had a lot of good times in that house, kids are never inside (woods and a stream on the property, lots of kids in the neighborhood), and I love, love, love the extra money from a puny mortgage and low utilities. It'll be paid for in 2 years or less.

But, with baby #4 on the way, we've been looking. My stay-at-home wife would understandably like more space. Found a sweet place with a pond, swimming pool and unfinished basement workshop out in the hills. May put in an offer this week.

good luck on the offer if you make it

Got any pictures of it? Sounds cool.

Thanks. They wouldn't take a contingency on us selling our house (needed to sell it quickly), so we quickly put our house on the market. We got 5 offers on our house in the first 3 days, and as soon as we received one that we liked...the other house went under contract. It's a cash offer contingent on an inspection, so I'm not very optimistic that it will fall through. Back to the old drawing board.

We are very pleased to learn that our house should quickly go for what we want for it. Now to find somewhere to live...
