Titans QB future

hounestly i dont think this class is a good qb class. gabbert is going to be a flop i mean he is just all hype. newton is 2 much of a risk. i say we take the best overall player . fairly or paterson would be nice or anyone who could instantly help maybe even AJ GREEN or J jones. that way we could loore a free agent QB. then take a qb with our 39th. locker might still be there or dalton or ponder. THEN we need to try and get carson palmer. he is just 31 and is a great smart qb who could really instantly make us a playoff team and if we cant get him i would go for mcnabb then kolb... we do that and we will be in buissness. BBBuuut knowing the titans they will draft cam newton and then we will have VY 2.0 bc bud adams cant get over warren moon and the black QB sickness...

pocket passer is the way to go bud... listen to me and you will see a ring b4 you die...:lolabove:

I say we tank this year and get Luck next....
In a perfect world I'd say trade down and maybe go after Quinn or another impact defensive player. Then use the second or third on a Dalton/Mallett/Ponder type guy. We need the extra pick or two to plug some holes.

Cam did not impress me in the combine so he might end up not being so hot but only time will tell. I have to ride the fence on him bc I have no idea. But as for our future QB, you guys think Gabbert would be a good fit? Or maybe we could try and get Carson Palmer but I'm not sure how much faith I have in him really lol.

You've certainly changed your tune

LMAO at your comment about using a second or third round pick for Mallett.

Edit: no on Mallett though.

I'm all for this. Never would I have thought I would agree with that sentiment though.

Mallett and Dalton could very likely be there in the second. The third round part was obviously referencing Ponder.

And I was joking about tanking next year....sort of. I would never root for my team to lose, but it would certainly be nice to get a guy like Luck.

I am hoping for a vet in free agency or via trade (but I do not see them pulling the trigger on a trade.) Probably draft a QB in 2nd-3rd round and try to develop him. I would like Kolb or McNabb. Lock wouldnt be a bad pick at all. First round should be a defensive pick...

I'd go with Ponder or Dalton for value.

Locker isn't accurate, which should be the number one attribute a GM looks for in any QB. Mallett has upside, but maturity issues. And with his height, I'm concerned about durability. He got blasted in the ribs and knocked out of games twice last year. That'll only be a larger concern over a 16-game NFL season.

Newton is an interesting option, but not worth the first round pick that he'll be. Gabbert supposedly showed out at his Pro Day, and looked impressively athletic at the combine. Not sure why so many on here think he'll be a bust. He won't last until the Titans pick, but I wouldn't mind seeing him in Nashville.

I also wouldn't mind seeing a trade for Matt Flynn as long as the price is reasonable. He did well when subbing for Rodgers last season.

Gabbert is just a less athletic Locker.

Missouri QB Blaine Gabbert Impresses at Pro Day, Flashes Accuracy, Quick Release, and Arm Strength | Sportsrageous

I haven't watched Gabbert a ton, but he looks better than Locker to me. Locker completed 58% of his passes his best season, and then regressed significantly his senior year. Gabbert completed 58% his sophomore year and nearly 64% as a junior.

Good pro day workouts should be expected.

Gabbert's nothing special. If I'm taking a guy on potential, I'll take Locker all day.

That being said, I don't think either will do much in the league.

Jake Locker... lol. No thanks.

Less athletic than VY and even worse arm/accuracy.

Kaepernick is the guy I wouldn't mind getting if he is there in the 2nd. I hope we don't take a QB at #8. Peterson, Dareus, Green, Jones, and Quinn would be my top 5 wish list.

It will be a shame, we have Lightning in a Bottle with Johnson and we are just pissing it away...

Wonder if we'll play 5 games this season...

Yea no doubt and when you look at the $300K debt Dez Bryant has to his jewler it makes you realize just how little remorse the fans have when Millionaires fight with Billionaires for more money...fans are the ones who suffer when tix prices and concessions go up, up, up:loco:

i almost hope we get Mcnabb, then he tanks. we get the first selection, then take luck. i'm starting now, tank the season like the spurs did to get duncan.
