'19 TN ATH Adonis Otey (ARK Commit 8/1/18)

In before, Pruitt is once again not wearing hardly any orange. He seriously needs some advice on his fashion game.

I said very early on that he would wear as little orange as possible. Full orange shirt just enough to pass under the radar.

I couldn’t care less... win.

Otey, a 6-foot, 175-pound defensive back/athlete had previously committed to UT but decommitted recently.

He also has offers from schools such as the Vols, Alabama, Florida, Arkansas, South Carolina, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Florida State, LSU, Michigan, Ohio State, Cincinnati, Houston and Memphis.

He took to heart some input from Pruitt as well.

"He told me I needed to raise my motor and ball skills," Otey said. "That's what I'm going to do. He told me I have all the skills in the world but told me to go hard on every play."

Bet he re-commits before the summer.

I care because it shows he isn't wholly committed to Tennessee. It feels like he is just chomping at the bit to get back to Alabama when Saban retires...That bothers me, like he is just another Kiffining waiting to happen. I wish he would buy in to building his own legacy here. He could be an all time legend if he brings us back from the dead.

At Bama all he would ever be is the guy who couldn't live up to Saban's impossible legacy.

PS...I'm not really super concerned about it, it does does bother me a little bit, but I hope he grows to love it at UT if he is successful in rebuilding the program.

Personal opinion... Saban retires within 5 years. Dabo gets call #1, and stays put. Not sure where the next calls go, but if Pruitt proves worthy of a call, he accepts before he can step foot out of his office.

I’m not borrowing that trouble now though. I don’t expect him to love Tennessee, but I do hope he can build a monster, and maybe the next coach can be as good, and love it here... or maybe I’m 100% wrong. Time will tell

That's quite a reach.

Google image "Jeremy Pruitt Alabama" and notice how he's wearing a significant more white and grey than crimson attire.

Would he really want to follow Saban? Would he want to be their Holly Warlick?

If he does well enough for bama to want him I’d be thrilled

Man, we borrow trouble more than any other program. I wouldn't concern myself with where Pruitt is going until he shows he can win here. And if he wins here I have no doubt Phil will make every effort to keep him here.
