'21 TN ATH Andre Turrentine (Tennessee signee - Transfer from Ohio St.)

I just feel like we are at a point where we need guys to come in and play, especially in the secondary.

I don't disagree. I think there's a good chance he replaces one of our safeties or nickel. I'm also hopeful that we aren't done in the secondary.

I wonder where he projects in our system. His speed was not an asset. My read is that he is a more talented version of McCollough. Any experts know where he fits?

Curious what you mean by “speed was not an asset.” If he’s a hybrid CB/S, that would tell me he has plenty of speed to play Safety, but maybe not the fastest CB.

Some people here piss me off. They complain about the players we have, but then complain about a potential transfer that didn't start at an elite school as a true freshman. I guess they forget that Bama's best WR last season was a bench rider at Ohio St. the previous year..

To be fair it took Banks forever to learn to play the right way. He’s definitely a talent to have out there but outside of that Tennessee should welcome all the talent that wants to come at the position. Tennessee just simply doesent have the caliber of players needed to compete week after week at this level.

It's really just people having the habit to complain...

This dude would greatly improve our defense. He'd be the most talented defender. Then Banks after that.

Unless things have changed drastically from when he was recruited, he does not have anywhere near the speed to play CB. My best guess is he is a SS/Star type of player.

That was just painfully obvious. Tennessee needs high caliber guys at the positions and then we’ll see what Martinez ceiling is. If he can’t make the defense much better he may be the first man out under Hype.
