This describes basically every single recruit and transfer. I guess we shouldn't get excited about any of them.
Plus some game experience and an entire year at one of the top programs in the country.I don't know if some people realize why it's so important to get transfers with multiple years of eligibility. Last years class is pretty much a wash at this point. We have 9 players left from the '21 class. That has to be offset somehow. Getting a 4* at a position of need, with 4 years of eligibility sounds like a big win to me.
Meaning, you would you have taken Isiah Neyor over Jameson Williams...a terrible move.Wrong. We went hard after Isiah Neyor. Why? Because he had documented production. Are you saying there is no difference between Neyor and a WR that has spent a year at Bama but never played? Sorry there is a big difference.
I hope the dude works out.
No one is saying that. But even Callahan said he could be in strong contention for a starting spot.
Take away all the rest of the noise - isn't someone capable of starting, or at least being a strong backup (here), exactly what we needed? Those are exactly the types we've been honing in on with the portal.
You're hardly going to find any "can't miss players" this late in the portal cycle, but this is the next best thing. Pruitt's penalties have left us in this position. Doing with it the best we can.

One of your dumber hills, Train.
Remember when OSU fans thought Joe Burrow was no big loss? Fans can be wrong.
