Yeah, I think trying too hard was his biggest issue. The reason you gave, plus one fumble where he should have gone down but was stripped trying for an extra half yd that wasn't necessary.Outran his blocking a lot for whatever it was. Maybe he was trying to do too much to compensate.
agreed.ok let me clarify for you:
Banks looks like a better running back imo, just by the eye test. He hits the hole hard and violent. Jordan never saw a hole he liked. Yes we will all have to wait to see but if I was the coach(I'm far from it) I would be prone to giving Banks more of a look than Jordan.
I thought banks looked great in the spring game... didnt get talked about much though. I also like Jordan. I think we have a sneaky good RB platoon.
I can agree with that better blocking makes all rbs better. We should know soon enough. Maybe Pruitt will end up thinking someone else is better also.
Even if he does, I'd still jump in every time someone takes the trash talk too far, instead of just saying they prefer Banks.
Every single Vol giving 100% out there deserves better than that.
That’s how Clemson got into that group. Pruitt is building basically the same way. Go look at Dabo’s first few classes

Plus he did it in the ACC. A top 20 class puts you in the top 3 of recruiting classes in the conference. In the SEC, a 20th ranked class is marginally top 10 in the conference. His first full class was 27th, after that he hasn't had a sub-20 class since then and they didn't even breakthrough till his 3rd full season (4th season overall).....he didn't get there with a bunch of 3 stars. He got there with top-20, top-15, some top-10 classes. He's not taking top-40 classes, like Kentucky's or Missouri's, and turning them into consistent gold.
He also has had stud QBs at every turn. He didn't turn water into wine. He recruited star players and developed them into great teams.
Yeah, WV was our best OL and Jordan led the nation in broken tackles after that game. Just has to get past the los. He doesn't have any "sudden burst"
