I hope we tell him to kick rocks if he tries committing here or when he hits the portal

You’re all over the place . Armchair psychologist in one thread because a 16 year old picks a different team. Whiny little b in the next because someone criticizes Milton’s game. Seek help.

What a terrible comparison.

You’re naive if you think that’s even remotely the same thing.

Again, pound sand kid.

Insider says he’s a good kid.

You and this other fool have never met him.

But he put on the wrong shade of orange and your feelings are hurt. I get it. I guess my mistake is thinking y’all are capable of anything else.

JFC, nobody cares if he wanted to go to Clemson.

He clearly went overboard with the way he handled it but by all means, if justifying his actions makes you feel like Billy bad a$$, then good for you.

Not saying a 16 year old is a bad person for a harmless stunt doesn’t make me feel like Billy Bad Azz, it makes me feel like a normal human.

It’s disturbing how unhinged your mentality is.

I don’t recall anyone, including myself, saying he was a bad person.

You need to lighten up as much as anyone. His attention-seeking playfulness is indeed common and harmless .... but it should be easy to understand why a Tennessee fan won't like it coming from a kid in Knoxville.

What we do here (give fan-based opinions) is just as harmless.

I never said anybody had to like it.

Going after kid’s character, or his parents, over this is a pretty crappy thing to try and dismiss under the umbrella of "fan-based opinion". That’s not what that is.

I will refer you back to VFL’s last post. That’s all.

You’re putting words into peoples mouth.

Not one poster in this thread said he was a bad kid nor had bad parents.

Some of us thought his announcement was childish and dumb. That’s it. Totally two different things.

If that’s how you took it then that’s on you.

You’re doing it wrong. Overrated. Only in it for the NIL.

‘26 commitments at this stage mean very little. Put up results on the field and he will begin to rethink. Especially when he gets there and sees how far Clemson’s star has really fallen.
Funny thing was I said that by pure chance before he committed to Clemson haha

He’s a child. He’s bound to do some childish stuff.

If it was the other way around team wise you’d have loved it.

I don’t really care how you interpret "Good kid" or "what kind of parents".

It’s laughable behavior from adults. This mentality explains a lot about a lot.

He was a take.

Good kid. Good prospect.
Still two years away. The last Webb kid we had committed didn’t grow and transferred to Baylor. We cut him. And now he’s not doing anything.

Honestly, It was hard to be impressed by his tape at Brentwood last year.

Clemson needs playmakers. The way Tennessee is dominating North Carolina I won’t fret over them sneaking one out of our backyard. Beside NC is my original state anyhow, so I’m glad to see us be such a force there.

I hope he sticks with his commitment and kills it at Clemson

I'm not making judgements of his character or of his parents when I say this .... and of course, I will emphasize that it's not a big deal, and it will be quickly forgotten, as it should be :

If schools offered me scholarships to play a sport (and likely some NIL money with it), the last thing on my mind as I announced my decision of where to go, would be doing something to publicly disrespect the schools I wasn't choosing. I would still be appreciative of their interest, even if they weren't right for me. That would be true if they were a school in my current town or not.

Basically, I think the hat fake-out act is in poor taste ... albeit harmless. It's not a big deal for him to do it, but having said that, there is nothing wrong with being critical of him for it either.
