I like this kid alot! I follow KCHS football closely. He is way ahead of where Amari Rodgers was at this stage. Very tough kid. Very tough.
Has high football IQ, and has those moves and quickness you can only be born with. Played hurt the in the playoffs for KCHS last year, and that says alot about his mental makeup. This is one UT needs to keep at home.

Key Vols Target Tommy Winton Talks Recruitment, Upcoming Season, and More

The 5-foot-10.5, 190-pound Winton said being in Tennessee’s backyard “gives them leverage, but it doesn’t, at the same time.” He grew up liking the Vols, too, but he insisted he’s keeping an open mind about where he might want to play, although he received an offer from them in June 2019.

“I don’t want to let me being a (Tennessee) fan in my youth really, like, get in the way,” Winton said after catching two passes for 92 yards and a pair of touchdowns Friday night in Knoxville Catholic’s season-ending 43-20 victory over Ensworth School of Nashville, Tenn.

“That’s my teammate. That’s my brother,” Winton said of Mays. “I talk to him whenever I (want). Tyler Baron, I talk to him whenever. They’re honest. They don't try to recruit me to the school. They just talk to me like I’m just their friend.”

“Really, because my grandparents live here,” Winton said. “Everybody in my family has grown up Tennessee fans, so that would probably be the biggest sell. That’s really it. I just want to go wherever they want me.”

The Vols’ interest in Winton seems to be “genuine,” he said, and he believes “they don’t want to lead me wrong.”
“They’ll tell me right away how they feel, and he’s not going to lie to me,” he said of Tee Martin. “He sees me every single day. If he does (lie), I’m going to find out. But he lets me know every single day. He’s truthful. Honesty is really the key part in recruiting.”

No they didn't. Amari was a 4* and we lost him to Clemson, one of the two best recruiting schools in America at the time. Winton isn't being offered by anyone like that.
