'24 TN DB Boo Carter (Tennessee)

Most in Chattanooga that have seen him play would absolutely agree with you.
I have the opinion of he is showing me Bryce Thompson type athleticism at WR and is that much more athletic and explosive than lil Timmy and lil Tommy trying to catch him. He will translate to an even better CB than most due to his elite ball skills and ability to read and see the field so well. Bryce Thompson vibes in high school with an even higher upside after his college career. Very excited about the speed and versatility we have continued to upgrade each year since Hype has been here. Also, watching his film… He likes to hit and talk sh*t… my type of dude on the field.

Right now they plan for him to start out at safety here. The goal is to get much more athletic at that position with someone who also has ball skills. He weighed in at 195 on his Michigan visit, so he already has the size to compete immediately. If he can get to 205 without losing any speed or agility, he'll make one helluva free safety or STAR in our defense.

Yeah it's been a minute since we've had a real ball hawk at that free safety spot.

Yes please!!!

Pickens?

WR
[Safety, I think]
KR
Kick and/or punt returner seems like a great possibility. I don't think he will be forced into two-way duty like Pickens was because we are now WRU again! Pickens played both ways because we were desperate iirc. Those DBs (was it '88?) made last year's group look stout.

A bit random, but I saw the two mentioned together the other day.

If you could add one to this years team, would you choose -

Carl Pickens at WR and returning kicks
Dale Carter at CB and returning kicks

The obvious answer is “yes”. But if you had to choose?

I’d go Dale Carter this year.

Carter.

I wonder who would have the best team if you took everyone’s best player at each position throughout their schools history

Just taking their college careers into account

Gonna go watch Boo play against McMinn Co tomorrow night. Should be a short night for him. I’m excited to see how he does
McMinn is always really solid. He'll probably not have a short night. I know how much talent Bradley has but McMinn always competes and will probably try to slow the game down. Going to run the ball if it's still the same from when we played them when I worked for Ooltewah's football team (the good years haha). Bradley's defensive strength is that loaded secondary. Bradley should win comfortably but not where they take Boo out early imo
