'24 TN DB Marcus Goree (Tennessee)

You know what I'm talking about.
Don't play coy with me.
Our "average" DB as you described him,
just got offered by Alabama.

Any thoughts???
I’ve never bashed this kid. I just don’t think he plays on the outside in college and is better suited at the star position. Apparently the staff likes him there as well. However we don’t need quite as much help there as we do at corner

You've never bashed any kid right?
But that doesn't mean you have to celebrate them either, am I right??🙄

What are you even talking about? I’ve never called this kid average. For one I think he’s a great player and 2 he comes from my home town and I have way too much respect for Coach Floyd to ever bash one of his players. You’re really reaching on this. When this staff takes a player I think is inferior to another player that wanted to play for Tennessee (i.e Cristian Conyer over Tyler Scott) I’ll definitely throw my .02 in, but this dude doesn’t fall in that category. He has the potential to be another Theo Jackson for us

You are truly the most immature poster. Throw stuff against the wall and when something finally does stick, your “told you so” shtick is as certain as death and taxes. Grow up

They're not the same type of player.

Theo was a STAR. Goree is a NB/CB

You never understood Goree style or skillset at all.

He will play star at Tennessee. Just watch his highlights. I’ve actually watched him play, and not just seen his highlights. He’s phenomenal in run support. It’s probably the best part of his game and he has far more experience playing the run than the pass

“Building a better bond with the players and the coaches,” Goree said of his trip. “It was cool to meet some new guys and try to bring them on over here to Tennessee. I wasn’t really with Boo all the time. I was other players trying to get to know them.
Goree has made several trips to Knoxville unofficially for games, practice and other events. Being in town for the entire weekend, Goree learned new things.

“I learned how it operates and what it is going to really look like when I get up here,” Goree said.
-Hubbs

Mentioned he will visit Alabama and Vanderbilt, but did say it'd be tough to get him to flip due to his relationships

“They told me I have a chance to play early, and I have an eye on where I’m going to play at. It’ll be corner or nickel,”

“It’s going to be competition. I’ve just got to put my head down and grind and stick with it and trust the process.”

I think Goree will be force fed CB, just like Deniko was...

One pure CB in this class in Beasley. And he has trouble with speed WRs. But he's OUTSTANDING in every other facet of the position
Honestly ur probably right, I forgot abt Thomas playing STAR
