'20 TN DE Jay Hardy (Auburn commit)

The West Forsyth coach even allowed the offender to play the rest of the game. The coach should have put his butt on the bench or sent his a** to the locker room. Since the coach isn’t taking action, hopefully the GHSA will do something.

Wouldn’t mind seeing Vol Twitter lay into the “offender” online...

Rodney Garner, aka dat bagman.

Gittin' **** done since 1999.

This kid wont leave TN
Since when? Naw, Garner learned his trade before ever leaving AU in 95. He had the rep then at AU.

Proof the tree doesn’t split in Bama, he is cousins with Barkley. I still hope Barkley runs for Alabama governor like he has said he would.

I hope you mean the coach and not the highschool kid.
Screw him. He intentionally tried to take out an opposing players knee, AND succeeded.

He’s a PUNK.

He have a public profile on Twitter? Then yea, light him up.

I wonder. Can high school kids be suspended or prevented from playing for blatant cheap shots like that?
The athletic association in GA (GHSA) can take action against players for intentionally trying to injure another player. Not sure the coach will do anything.

Below is the offending player’s quote. No word from the GHSA or the school. Interestingly, the apology did not reference McCallie or J. Hardy, but spoke of the generic “everyone I have disappointed or hurt”. He mentions time away from the team, so not sure if that is from the coach or the kid’s parents.CA1FECC1-C72A-45F5-9DF7-DF719B605C03.jpeg

Sounds like he's out for a while.

He should be out the rest of the year at a minimum. Maybe a full year if he is not a senior. You have to make an example out of players who intentionally try to hurt another player (which he has now admitted). Also, Hardy's family should be able to sue the other kid's family in civil court if they think Hardy's future ability to earn a scholarship or $$$ has been damaged in any way.

Should've been kicked out of the game at a minimum with the footage sent to a committee of coaches to vote on an outcome.

Remember that this is still a kid.
Some have suggested finding out who it was. Don't be a dumb-azz.
Most on this board would hardly care if Jay wasn't a TN lean.

no! all us adults should take time to twitter him, a HS kid!! let's then send our intent to local media to shame!

our we could just let people who are actually invested in this issue handle it.

everyone thinks they're the durn police anymore.

I would still care, because he is a McCallie player and the Baylor-McCallie game is this weekend. Regardless, West Forsyth and the GA athletic association will determine his punishment. I just hope that Hardy recovers fully and is able to move on to the next level. The injury could have been much worse. He is expected to return in time for the playoffs.

The term "kid" can sometimes reflect an incorrect situation. I've seen a 15 year old slap his 36 year mom on the way out the door saying (effing B!) on his way out the house, bringing her to tears. We then kicked the "ess" out of him! Me at 14 and two other guys 21 and 23.

I've seen another 15 year old force his way onto a 22 year old girl. In which he then got choked out by the 24 year old boyfriend...

Then there's Mike Tyson knocking grown men out at 16 years old.

What I'm saying is, the law says one thing. Reality can be different. That little bastard from West Forsyth ain't "ess". He intentionally tried to seriously harm another player. It's just game. A man Jay Hardy's size gets an bad ACL, he might not recover like a skill player. At the very least, that kid needs to get punched in the mouth...by someone underage of course 🤭
