The Vols continue to make a push for South Carolina defensive end Joseph Anderson. Both Tracy Rocker and Kevin Sherrer went to see the Oakland standout. Anderson had a strong second half of the season for the Patriots, playing really well against Whitehaven in the state title, too. Tennessee hopes to get the 4-star end back on campus before the early signing period. That nearly happened several weeks ago before South Carolina shut the visit down. Still, Anderson has continued to at least listen to the Vols and the idea of playing close to home with his friends (namely Jackson Lampley) is intriguing. Will it become anything more than that? We’ll see.
