'19 TN DL Zion Logue (UGA Commit)

How many musical chairs (players dropped for bigger prospects) do you see at Tn to end this class? Anyone you think might be replaced?

A good note on Pruitt, I suggest not everyone live or die by the ranking (not referring to you) but many would be surprised to see a position recruiting board, I assure everyone, it doesn’t have rankings beside the names. Well, maybe Butch’s. He took too many 4 stars that had 3 star offers.
Still a couple on Ga list coming, one maybe soon. One a top 100 guy that has slid down boards this year. These boards change all the time.
Don’t see many leaving the class. Cox has flirted with Auburn and he seems to be most likely to not sign with UT of the current commits. I’m sure a couple others will sign elsewhere when it’s all said and done, always happens, but none stick out.

Trez Marshall? I would rather have him at MLB in Pruitts system than Pappoe personally. People here are enticed by OPs ranking, but I don’t see him fitting unless it’s a sub package position.

@secking Is UGA looking to push Logue out? He is the lowest rated recruit yall have for 2019. I assumed he was a project that CKS was undertaking. Logue was bitter toward us for waiting so long to offer and he was 100 for UGA. What's the deal?

So were UGA jr now...getting their culls?

"I spoke to coach Pruitt and told him I'm going to try and get there for the Missouri game," Logue said. "It shows that they care and that they want me that they have never stopped recruiting me.. But as I told coach Pruitt, I'm comfortable with where I'm at with Georgia."

But a potential visit opens the door for Tennessee with the Lebanon standout. He's all too familiar with the Vols having grown up watching plenty of Tennessee football games and that's part of the reason for giving them a look.

"It's an in-state school and I grew up a Tennessee fan," Logue said. "I think I can come in and help Tennessee with their need for players."

And the last part is the biggest sales pitch from Pruitt and company. They lose a good portion of their defensive linemen to graduation. They need players that can stop the run and get to the quarterback and Logue has quietly become a big priority to flip from their eastern division counterparts.

"That I can come in and be a very big help to the team," Logue said about the Vol pitch. "That I can add height and athleticism to the defensive line. Things of that nature."

It's not just Tennessee. Alabama and others have upped their interest with Logue having a big senior season.

"It's pretty cool just to see all the schools are coming after me now," Logue said. "Just being a big presence on the defensive side of the ball is a big thing to me."

Logue played his final prep game last Friday night as Lebanon lost in the first round of the playoffs. He says the end came way to fast, but he appreciates the memories he has made with his teammates. A group he was glad to lead this season.

"The biggest thing I've tried to improve on this year is being a better leader," Logue said. "I've been more vocal. Like everyone in my circle has told me that I was raised to be a leader so I've stepped into that role this year."

I'm torn on this guy. Didn't play particularly well against Blackman who have bigger/better lineman than he faced this year. Maybe he fits as a run stop guy (which UT obviously needs) but doesn't appear to be that typical "bama type" DT that disrupts up the middle.

Maybe I'm wrong and he get much stronger, but he won't see the field at UGA for 2/3 years.

Does UGA expect him to play DT? He's currently an end.

I don't know. He would be an down lineman in a 3-4 at UT or UGA. I could be wrong about him, just going on what I saw last Friday night. I suspect Blackman probably double teamed him a lot. Blackman probably could have scored 75 on them, but called the dogs off.
