I don’t know, I used to work radio some, and I talk to some people in that area still. I love high school football, and I support it pretty good. But, I always try to find out through these guys on what is going on from time to time. If I can’t find out something, then I always try to get info on who I know who to talk to. I just want this one to go right, from what I’m hearing and reading into these recruits.

i know everything with aub is crap shoot, but its been pointed out thomas has only visited once before, hasn't had a ton of contact, etc. i can assure you the iron bowl will be a much more exciting game than ours, so i can't really blame him for checking it out. hardy and aub had a history, thomas doesn't really. makes me feel a little better about it.

hardy had a history with auburn, yes...not near as much as he did with TN. anyway, old wounds. gotta stop picking at them. so just don't pay attention to me.

They have been for some time. Seems like a year doesn't go by that they don't slip in at the final hour and snag a recruit we were certain was going to be wearing orange. I've almost come to expect it.

So is Jay Hardy the “we’re not getting anyone” crowds version of Henry To’oto’o?? Like how the guys that think we’ll land everyone always use To’oto’o as the example of us getting a recruit we’re not supposed to, the opposite end is Jay Hardy being the only real example of another team swooping in last second when we had him basically in the class (I count nothing from the ‘18 class because of the circumstances with the program at the time).

What I’ve come to figure out is that both cases are EXTREMELY rare. Maybe once or twice a year does Callahan/Fong/etc get something wrong on a specific recruit. And I guarantee had Hardy committed at 3:00pm instead of 8:00am, word would’ve gotten out almost immediately and all the CBs would’ve changed last second. So yes, those CBs do mean something unless they’re old. Our best bet is to follow them, if 247 thinks we’re getting a player, it’s safe to think we’re going to.

Seriously. It's almost as if Gus is like "who's trending for UT, better swoop in and snatch em up". Genius to just let Pruitt do all your recruiting for you then just have your bag-men ready to seal the deal.
