The fact that people like Hooker, Evans, Kennedy Chandler, BHH, and others don’t have huge deals that are public, is shameful and has to be killing us in recruiting.

I would guess we are moving cautiously till the NCAA tips it’s hand on current issues. Staying at arms length from deals, even though hoping we have some guys step up, will be important till the learning curve is over.

Maybe some of our folks can figure out how to legally channel money to and through some businesses that can pull it off when incentivized by the general VOL faithful to get in on some recruits as well as current leaders.

Sorry about that-- I didn't see the post. Not sure how UT stacks up dollar to dollar, but UT has the money to do what we need to do. Being underfunded isn't our problem. UT isn't a win-at-all-costs school, like other Big 6 schools. UT admin and boosters don't align money strategically, and there are multiple agendas. Some of our major donors earmark big donations for academics and facilities-- and some of our legacy families have been re-allocating funding that way.

Everyone needs to also remember the State of Tennessee’s NIL law doesn’t officially go into effect until Jan. 1.

While we can talk to them about NIL's, our State's ah gov made it effective after New Year !

On May 11th, 2021, Tennessee passed a Name, Image, Likeness (NIL) law for their colleges and institutions. Tennessee will see the legislation go live, effective January 1, 2022
