The thing that drives me crazy is social media.
I think it has affected the minds of the younger generation. I think the lives that celebrities/ influencers present on social media can mess with the perceptions of young people. They think it’s the norm and try to replicate it. I understand social media can have an affect on everyone, but it’s the younger crowd that’s the worst.

For example, I saw a picture with a quote along the lines of “if he doesn’t do a tik tok dance video with you, then you need to find another man” I was like…😒 just dumb ****.
Honestly, that doesn't sound any dumber than the ridiculous crap I see adults post on Facebook. Seems that there's just a lot of d!p$h!t$ both young and old.

Edit: read it wrong, my bad

It could definitely just be an annoyance on my part. I guess. Just live your life how YOU want, not how celebrities think you should live.

My dad had the same philosophy, but it had to do with premarital sex. I was still taught to respect women, and part of the experience was getting to know a woman as a person. My wife definitely wasn't the first woman I was ever with, but I spent time getting to know just about every woman in which there was mutual interest. Those experiences helped me be a better companion in all aspects. Most kids today don't even know how to communicate in person. There isn't much "chase" anymore when pursuing a love interest. It's a lot of have sex first and get to know you later.
Casual sex is not unique to this generation. If anything they’re probably having less sex than the millennials and Gen X. Especially considering high school kids spend a lot of time at home on their phones instead of hanging out with each other, parents are more protective than they used to be, etc. They’re exposed to a lot through the internet but then they’re also strangely sheltered in a lot of ways.

Last weekend, Walter Nolen shook the college football world when he committed to the Texas A&M Aggies while on a visit to College Station, Texas.

Nolen ranks as only four players that are Five Star Plus+ prospects in the 2022 class along with athlete Travis Hunter, receiver Evan Stewart and cornerback Domani Jackson. The recognition means they are the only players ranked by all four major recruiting media companies as five star.

It was a momentous weekend and put the Aggies on a path to a potential No. 1 recruiting class.

But as we’ve seen throughout Nolen’s recruitment, the door hasn’t been totally slammed on other schools, especially local favorite Tennessee.

On3’s Chad Simmons confirmed Wednesday Nolen will still take his scheduled official visit to Rocky Top this weekend.

“We know Texas A&M is on top, but it will have to hold off Tennessee,” Simmons wrote. “Nolen is still planning to visit Tennessee officially this weekend according to his father. Then there are in-home visits. Then, will Nolen sign early or wait until February? He has talked about waiting for February in the past.”

Basically this isn't over by a longshot.

I guess I'm just getting old (I'm 29 lol), but I'll never understand why you'd ever commit somewhere if you clearly are still open to having your mind changed. Nolen is a consensus 5-Star prospect, so he clearly doesn't need to "save his spot" somewhere.

It's just such a foreign concept to me to make a "commitment" or be "committed" somewhere but still look for other landing spots. That's not commitment.

17 and 18 year olds tend to be impulsive

Possibly A&M offered a sweeter deal if he would commit on his visit? Only reason I could think of.
