There was alot of Tennessee fans at his high school playoff game maybe he did this to take the spot light off him and put more of a spot light on the team. One can hope.I guess I'm just getting old (I'm 29 lol), but I'll never understand why you'd ever commit somewhere if you clearly are still open to having your mind changed. Nolen is a consensus 5-Star prospect, so he clearly doesn't need to "save his spot" somewhere.
It's just such a foreign concept to me to make a "commitment" or be "committed" somewhere but still look for other landing spots. That's not commitment.
Sometimes they just get hard sold by the coach. The reality is Recruiting is sales, and sometimes (especially with younger kids) the hard sell works. Not saying that’s what happened here but it does seem like the play for lots of coaches is to get a verbal commit as soon as possibleI guess I'm just getting old (I'm 29 lol), but I'll never understand why you'd ever commit somewhere if you clearly are still open to having your mind changed. Nolen will go to the biggest NIL, simple
I would compare it to a time share weekend, you staying free and it’s nice . Tell them what they want to hear . Then you go home and think about it….glad to see he is visitingI guess I'm just getting old (I'm 29 lol), but I'll never understand why you'd ever commit somewhere if you clearly are still open to having your mind changed. City College of San Francisco Recruiting Notes (247sports.com)Still talking coaches heavily and coming back on campus soon.
The family will be relocated to College Station, SimpleNIL will be one economic factor and could make the balance a no-brainer, but NIL money pushing you to a distant campus CAN cause further analysis of cost of transportation to games, housing for game weekends, possibly rental car costs for the college years and of course post school economic factors related to impact of probability of NFL career and post career opportunities for the player. If NIL differential trumps all of those then it is what you say it is. Not all flights, rooms and car rentals are created equal for example, not to mention lost work if you have to leave on Fridays due to distance. Can be a real factor if all the folks sitting at the signing day table want to attend games.
