Well I got news for you, Jimbo also isn’t dealing with NCAA sanctions and a team coming off 3 wins last year. Not to mention Heupel and his staff barely had any time to build relationships with these kids.

You’re making it sound as if it’s impressive when really it’s not.

I'm not making it sound like anything other than what it is, regardless of the reason.

Unless we are playing them, IDGAF about A&M, their recruiting or Jimbo (or any other team for that matter). I don't understand getting so bent out of shape over another team and then allowing that to drive one into a posting frenzy...

I give a sh!t about UT our coaches, our players, our recruiting and how it all will work to keep us moving up the SEC ladder........... hopefully.

Hot take. Jimbo is one of the best coaches in the SEC. However, it is because so many coaches have been fired and the present roster of coaches is not as strong as in the past. He left FSU in a mess. He underachieved this year. They are not paying to go 8-4 even with a Bama win. He is a good recruiter but the money for NIL that is pouring in would be pouring in to help with players regardless. If he keeps going 8-4, it will stop. Just being one of the best right now in the SEC doesn't matter. Even d1 is saying maybe Kiffin is next best with his track record shows you had weak coaching has become in the SEC.

Dang… I just remember that thread being wild and getting nuked. Was pre volnation update and remember it having a part 2. Title literally said “WR,QB, DB anything he wants” the guys from Chattanooga supposedly going and picking him up to bring him on a visit and him staying on like a 5 day visit. People still claim he’s sitting in that cookout. Good times.

No sir. Most programs can offer similar deals. A&M is doing it differently. They’re spending far more hours than most schools focusing solely on NIL with the kids and their parents. Their presentations are different . They’re killing it.

Completely agree. Whereas most schools may present their NIL deal to the players, A&M spends most of it's time presenting the NIL deals vs anything else.

To be fair, Kevin Sumlin wasn't fired for how he performed in his first 48 games. It was his last 48 games that got him fired. Most people considered him one of the best coaches in the nation after 2012. Most of his success happened in his 1st 2 years with Manziel.

Last year for TAMU was probably better than any year they had under Sumlin, considering it was an all SEC schedule.

Bad QB play can have a pretty dramatic affect on your record. But certainly they under performed this year. Losing to LSU, especially in the manner in which they did, is pretty inexcusable.
