TN goes to SECCG next year

I think USC takes the East next year. We're two years away from making it to Atlanta. However, I could see a best case scenario of 8-4 in '14 especially with who we've got coming in as EE's. Hurd, Pearson, and Blair are gonna be the top three difference makers in this class and they're all enrolling early.

UT will need a lot of help from the freshmen class in 2014 to get to a bowl game and I think the SEC Championship Game can be attained in 2015 when we have a little more experience and depth on the roster.

It's scary how similar Florida and Tennessee boards look these days.

It ain't happening. For either of us

Way too many kids and walkons having to contribute this year for us to turn it around that quick. I could see us maybe sneaking into the East with a crap ton of luck if we have all these teams down like this year.

Prediction #1: Butch Jones will have another losing season and will be fired after next year.

Prediction #2: The next hapless coach coming in will continue the losing streak but will be given a pass for awhile, since the fans will be blaming losses on Jones' recruits.

Wiil the circle be unbroken?

We are at LEAST one more off season of top notch recruiting from being competitive.

Depth won't be an issue then and we will have the talent to compete. Experience is always a question though.

Could really use Tiny and AJ next season not only for their production but leadership as well. With Maggitt coming back our LB's would be much improved.

I will say this... Richt and Bobo are still at Georgia and Florida is amazingly good, the East is wide open.

Florida will be strong next year. I highly doubt the play we saw this season will continue into next year. Florida had a lot of injuries.

Schedule way too difficult for this to happen. Also, one great recruiting class will not provide instant success for this program. It will take 2-3 top10 classes in a row to build enough talent and depth needed to beat the elite SEC teams on a week in and week out basis

Y'all have a better chance at it then UT does.

After looking at the 2014 schedule, I would suggest that for expectations we should only expect a one game improvement "if" some of the younger and more talented underclassmen make a noticeable impact. That is a big "if" at this point.

Team #118 will have new faces at just about every position next year. I will be surprised if that team can get 2 or more conference wins with the amount of youth and inexperience they will have.

I say 6-6 at best and that will include an upset win against UGA, UF, USC, Mizzou or Vandy.

This program still has a long way to go but they are improving.

Utah State - W
Ark State - W
Oklahoma - L
Georgia - L
Florida - L
Chatt - W
Ole Miss - W
Alabama - L
South Car - W
Kentucky - W
Missou - L
Vandy - W

SEC Championship - W

NC- W

Thoughts? Discuss.

Well Ga has talent but not sure how their QB situation is gonna play out. That could go either way , he will be a first yr starter and we all know how that goes. Idk about Oklahoma's team to much. Hoping we beat fla. And end the streak. I think add Fla as a win and I feel like 8-5 is where we end up.

SC has won the last 17 or 18 home games. Would be tough to beat them in Columbia.

GA is also pretty strong at home.

Hard to believe we win either of those on the road next year.

why not? Both Auburn and Mizzou had losing records last year and made it this year with an influx of talent. AU got a couple breaks along the way, but sometimes it's better to be lucky than good.

Reason number two, most coaches see the most improvement from year one to year two and Butch has shown the same results as previous coaches like Saban, Miles, Richt, even Muschamp went 11-2 his second year. The others all went 13-1.

Before someone screams OL, did you watch our OL this year? That is also why you bring in some JUCO lineman that are physically ready to contribute.

Year two, 11-3.

Hitting the eggnog a little early are we. Those other guys had things we didn't that is top recruits and depth. Auburn just needed a coach. We will go 6-6 or 7-6 next year but probably 6-6 will be our record

this is dumb. UT will be no better next year or possibly a bit better. I'll gladly make a bet that you will not pay up on. You are either trolling for likes or are high.

Same record as this year is our ceiling. We have sucked, and are going to continue to suck for a very long time. A low tier bowl game in 2015 is a realistic goal.

Just going by record from last year to this year with Mizzou and Auburn going, '14 SECCG should be Arkansas vs UT. :pepper:

"Competing" isn't out of the relm of possibility.

You people have no idea how badly the OL will be missed. Worst QB play ever and they still produce the 2nd best rushing total in 14 years (if I read that correctly) and not many sacks. Bad offense, bad defense, new system with vanilla playbook and they still produce. Perhaps not to expectations but give the guys a break.

Georgia and Florida could easily stay down or rise to the top. Just heard Florida fired their OC and Mason looked promising in Georgia's comeback. Mizzu benefited from a bad East this year. Who knows what SCjr will do?

I think they said Shaw has never lost at home. So keep that in mind.
