'19 TN ILB Christopher Russell (Texas A&M signee)

Tennessee guys recruiting him were so worried about Chavis that they started bad mouthing him and lost focus on the fact that they were told that he really enjoyed his A&M visit and that A&M was a serious contender. Russel had a lot of respect for Chavis, and that started a week for Tennessee that continued into a snowball that ended with a disrespectful question to his dad accompanied with the rumor that they were in lupo's saying Russell was being disrespectful to them. Russell telling them that he was going to A&M was a strain that was too much to bear which led them down th path of defeat which also led to him not taking the OV.
Sounds like a load of bs to me. My guess is that he was butthurt because Tennessee did see his 'star' as bright as he saw it. He's a fallback plan. There is no 'defeat' that occurred here. If Tennessee had landed Pappoe or Marshall, Russell doesn't even get a look. If Tennessee pulls off a stunner tomorrow and lands Henry T, no one will even care about this thread other than to peek in for a quick laugh or 2 from all of the insanity in it. I hope the kid does well. But don't act like Tennessee missed on a 5 star can't miss prospect.

He ran a 4.48 at Tn. What do they use?

Oh yeah he tell you that himself? Because after his time at Tennessee he didn’t release his 40 time. Also, that still isn’t faster than 4.47

Edit: Just for the record found an article that stated Russell ran a 4.5 at Arkansas and Tennessee and said his 40 time is a 4.54 lol so good try.

What it sounds like is one thing, what it is, is another. Not putting him out to be a 5 star, but he has a high ceiling and that's what the coaches liked about him. One things for certain, Tennessee wanted him, and at one point he was interested in Tennesse. Just didn't work out that way.

Thats absolutely hilarious, because he never went to a camp at Arkansas 😂😂😂😂. You have now certified yourself as FOS.

A few things stand out to me on this recruitment.
1. He did not receive an offer when he camped this summer.
2. Auburn offers late in November and then backs off very fast.
3. He claims coaches are bad mouthing him in public and cancels his visit

Something tells me Pruitt decided to back off and he made the right decision
