Don’t know if y’all heard this, but Russell outran Christian Coleman last week. Then, he was spotted outperforming JJ Watt in defensive drills. And just for fun he defeated Aaron Rodgers in a QB skills competition.
Russell also was interviewed for the OC job back in December but, obviously, turned it down so he could play scout team linebacker at A&M.

Last I heard that’s why our coaches were visiting him. Chaney was sitting in his living room taking notes about how to be a better play caller. Russell had a white board put teaching coach Pruitt how to correct all of his defensive play calling mistakes he made last year. But, sadly, he’d rather play for cult-U than take a multi million dollar coaching gig at UT. Truly sad

Wish the kid well. Not going to hate on him for choosing another school. Maybe he'll turn out to be a stud, maybe not. As stated before, rankings are not always indicative of how a player turns out. If all these supposed insiders are any indication to his character though, I'd question his maturity. If he doesn't fix that, he'll have a hard time reaching his potential.

Just when you thought the sh!t couldn't get any deeper in here..... It's like watching a season of Ancient Aliens only the show is more believable...

This thread and its effects on the human psyche are being carefully monitored by the good folks operating the CIA's MKUltra project.

You've been warned.

I heard things went south when Pruitt kicked Russell’s whiteboard.

Any fights out back?

Not in the "burg" at the moment, but there is plenty of room for wearing it out in the bean field out back. Unless it gets planted with corn, and it's late in the season. The fuzz prolly keep night vision on it these days. They got more cops in that town than any place I ever visited.

I hope nobody goes to his announcement. Dont give him the satisfaction.

No sense in being bitter. The kid owns his own life. I'll allow he can go where he wants without hating on him. If it's not Rocky Top, after the announcement, I'll care about the ones we do get. Not trying to be all higher and holier than thou.

I'm a vol fan and wanted him to come here, but given the fact that I know him, I'm not gonna let anyone run him down, point blank period.
His Hudl film is incredibly pedestrian. Especially considering his competition is atrocious.

He was a plan C type prospect for Tennessee.

No loss at all with him not coming here. Better to take no one and save the spot than waste it on him.

A player like Russell could develop well and really break out -- or not. He'll need to keep his head screwed on straight. There is nothing easy about playing in the SEC.
