TN is NCAAT Bound: "Cant keep them out"

I'd love to see UT's record if they had lost their best player with those games left.

Well lucky for you in that you got to see UT's entire record for the year when they lost their best player before the season began. They finished 19-11. Wonder what Ky's record would've been without Noel for the entire year? I'd bet it would be worse than 21-10.

Totally agree.

Add to that, Golden was somewhere out in never never land mentally for about 10 games.
Makes it even more amazing that we won that many.

Golden pulling his hammy may have been a blessing in disguise. We almost lost the Vandy game at home when he missed the entire 2nd half and then proceeded to lose to Ark and UGA at home. I think those games would've been more in doubt with a healthy Golden. However, that time off seemed to allow him to recharge his batteries and he got his confidence back. Without that, we'd be lucky to have made the NIT.

Shows how important Noel was/is to this team. And the lack of depth this year.

The fact that we managed to go 4-3 impressed me. I didn't think they could do it.

I thought they would give up after the 30 point beatdown in knoxville, then I thought they would give up after the Georgia loss.

I have to give them credit, they are stronger mentally than I thought they would be.

"You can't keep them out. You cannot keep TN out now. The way they're playing down the stretch, their quality wins, and how they look at the eye test right now - very very important. They have pieces and TN is headed to the NCAAs in my opinion" - Jimmy Dykes

"Tn is in regardless of what they do next week in the SECT."

"100 %, Tn has punched their ticket."

How can so many be so confident.. and then I come on volnation and read "we need 2 more wins" ??!?!

Sure, a few wins next weekend would feel great and remove all doubt, but i agree with Jimmy. We're in, regardless.

4 top 50 RPI wins (including a top 10 RPI win, and #29 RPI win). 8 of 9 over the last 9 games, 8 of 9 vs RPI top 100, only "bad" RPI loss was to RPI team ranked 124, SOS 28, OOC 35.

No other bubble team comes close to the overall "resume" we have.

Go Vols!

Here's one problem for UT: MTSU lost their conference tourney with an embarrassing loss to FIU (Dear God...). One would think that would be enough to keep them out. Problem is, they have only five losses, and they beat Ole Miss, a team UT could not beat after getting two chances.

Most seem to think MTSU is out
