Yeah. Im not saying he will be as good, but JRM was a tweener that decided to play linebacker and I think McDonald is a tweener that' stayed at DB. Im far from a strength and conditioning coach, so maybe they have completely different body types, I'm just going off measurables posted on the internet
Dam! It would be nice to have him back as an enforcer for one more year while these young studs in this class get acclimated. Also, this dude I am posting below looked like an absolute beast before he left the Tennessee game. Did anyone else see him wrecking shop like I did?I wish we could pull him over here with that Mizzou receiver. His brother has now graduated so why stay at that doormat of a program? Or is he going pro too? HahaHe does, but he's going to enter the draft
good player. he was good at Florida too. Originally from my neck of the woods.Dam! As he should. He does, but he's going to enter the draft
Man you LOVE to take things completely out of context. You think it would be good to add 20 pounds to a guy who isn’t already a burner?
Not out of context at all. I just wish I was an expert like you so I could understand how easy to move positions and add weight. Or why one might do that when one had a great first year starting in the wake of Theo JacksonMan you LOVE to take things completely out of context.
Did anyone say add 20 lbs to him and keep him at STAR?????
If we're suggesting a move, and part of that is because he lacks speed; is it not OBVIOUS that said position move is to one that requires less foot speed but increase in bulk muscle ?
Banks ain’t the leader some of y’all think,Oh he absolutely was.
But Beasley has turned into as good a LB as him. Maybe not the leader Banks seems to be, but play on the field yeah.
Herring has showed really good pass rush. He's going to be really good I think.
Honestly, Mitchell is a little underwhelming, but with Beasley and young guys like Herring and Jalen Smith....we'll be fine.
I wouldn't mind seeing McDonald moved to ILB tho...
I watched him in multiple games this year. He would be a perfect fit for this defense, and would wreck shop. Unfortunately, I don't know if many defensive players will hit the portal from Mizzou. Their defense was more than solid. The offense was a$$.Dam! It would be nice to have him back as an enforcer for one more year while these young studs in this class get acclimated. Yea, Banks has been really good in pass coverage this year. He’s dropped a bunch of should be interceptions but that means he’s in the right place. Better to drop them than not even be there to knock it downHave to disagree with you on Banks. He's not a DB so you cannot expect that level but he has good athleticism and has been pretty good in coverage for a LB. You also have to take into account the deficiencies the DBs have around him.
And Beasley has been underwhelming on blitzes? I've noticed him doing pretty good in that regard. Glad he's returning. However he doesn't seem to be a guy who can be the "QB" for the D. Not sure Banks is either but he obviously made a contribution in that regard. UT needs a guy to emerge at LB with a really high football IQ.
