You know if you want to look at this as a business decision, where is this kid going to get on the field the quickest? Every year you are sitting on the bench at Bama is going to cost you one year NFL salary. Just look at the rosters and see your options kid.

You can go to the NFL from Carson Newman. The only difference is at Alabama he will be sitting on the bench until it becomes his turn. Losing NFL $$$$. If Bama was the end all to getting to the NFL they would not have any players hitting the portal. Guess what is happening this year? They are leaking heavily.Eh this logic doesn't really apply at all. Can get on the field as a Freshman at 100 other schools but none of them have a history of putting a ton of players into the NFL. If anyone is going strictly business decision anyone would pick Bama/UGA/OSU etc. Same for any trade/profession, you go to the best school possible that gets you the highest paying job if that's all you are looking for in the decision and $$ is not a factor in the school choice.
Most of these kids luckily are not just looking to get straight to the NFL and that's what CJH etc. are selling him on. Come to the home school, play with guys you have been around for years and are comfortable and help bring UT back. Fulmer used to be able to sell the NFL angle but right now UT cant sell that but it will be soon.
Carter enjoyed his official visit to Alabama. The culture in Tuscaloosa and their focus on school plus football appealed to him. A big part of Bama's pitch was To'oto'o's impending departure. Nothing really too surprising here.
Tennessee is still putting on the full-court press with Carter. Heupel spoke with him on the phone on Sunday (the day his OV ended) then visited him on Monday. Coach Golding will be by to see him on Thursday. We'll probably have a firmer idea of where things stand with Bama after that meeting with Golding or this weekend.
I still have yet to put in a prediction. Think it's very tight between Bama and UT.
Uhhh, have you checked NFL rosters lately? Former Bama players seem to be doing very well. You know if you want to look at this as a business decision, where is this kid going to get on the field the quickest? Oh good gosh. So the argument is "come to UT because our players are worse than Bama's?" Really? How about "come to UT and compete against some of the best players in the country and see if you can earn your way on the field?" The defeatism around here is REMARKABLE!Who cares? He can play earlier at UT. AND Possibly get to the NFL earlier. But if you want to cheer for Bama, have at it. Look at the depth chart at Bama.
There is a difference between defeatism and reality. I am just not looking for an excuse for him not to come to UT.Oh good gosh.
