Are you kidding? I have season tix and am orange through and through. I'm just not going to get too optimistic until I see players like Stokes and Golden play like they want to be in the tourney every game. Today they both looked as if they would rather be elsewhere.

Stokes has been on a tear lately, yet you want to judge him on today's game, in which he actually played okay. It's not his fault the guards couldn't/wouldn't get him the ball today. He still managed 8 points and 10 boards. His defense was suspect today, but offensively, he did about all he could do without the ball.

Come on man, you saw the game just like I did. He was not the same player , working in the post demanding the ball and controlling the boards like he was in the KY and FL games. He and Golden must bring their A games every night. McRae can't carry this team on his back every game without a little help.

He was in the post demanding the ball. Teammates didn't give it to him.

His defense wasn't that good. He still rebounded well. He shot 3-7 from the field. When a big man gets ignored by his teammates, he goes into a lull. Happens to every college big man that has ever played the game.

Considering his defense against UF was outstanding, I"ll give him a pass.

This is my favorite post of the night.....we have a poster that believes that the committee will not judge tennessee for beating a hamstrung team....but will judge those hamstrung teams.......Why you ask.....of course it must be they are all VFL'ERS

This post shows that you have zero understanding of the selection process. None whatsoever.

Okay you need to not take me out of context. I said the committee only looks at who you've beaten and who has beaten you, and that they don't care how or why.

Which, by the way, is true.

You misunderstood me.

No I didn't. You said wins and losses PERIOD. The fact you put emphasis on the statement witha PERIOD made the statement clear. Unfortunately, for you it was inaccurate.

They are both human just like most of us. They are not perfect like you are. I am sure both would rather forget today. Stokes just did not have enough touches.

God. If that were the case, then, say, MTSU would be a top 3 seed and no one with 10 or more losses would even be in the conversation. There are lots of smaller conferences with teams that still have single digit losses. Don't take me so literally.

It is PAINFULLY OBVIOUS that I didn't just mean overall record all by itself. 'Wins and losses' would OBVIOUSLY imply 'who you've beaten, and who has beaten you.'

Seems like he was saying this to me.

It should be your favorite post because you could learn a lot from it, and how teams are judged by the selection committee.

Tennessee beat UK without their best player by 30 points. Tennessee won't be judged negatively for getting a win, no matter how it happened. UK, on the other hand, will be judged negatively because they are not the same team they were with Noel (see Cincinnati 2000 for proof after losing Kenyon Martin).

Lunardi's the pro, but if we are that tight on the bubble, all it takes is a couple of conference tourney upsets around the country to boot us out and with parity, you are going to get several. I assume he doesn't account for conference tourneys.
