TN OL Chris Morris (Texas A&M commit - Now JUCO)

You're incorrect they've been giving out this award for a while. Google is your friend.
Google is for things I actually care about. Don't care one iota about that quitter staff. I care about the one we have right now. All that matters is how good they are, not some past guys that were in and out in 1 year.

We can split hairs all day. But you can have this argument. I honestly couldn't care less about it.

Then you’re calling Pruitt a liar.

The official roster had several listed at over 300 but barely. Pruitt said "on the OL, this time last year"

My guess has been that between injuries and during the mid summer weight drops, most would have ended up shy of the 300 pound mark. As opposed to this year where even with weight loss, they're still over that mark.

Easy explanation but I've noticed those that don't want to consider it, are also those that aren't fans of Will Friend.

So has anyone said what his infatuation with TX AM is and why he seems like such a heavy lean to them? These analyst point to it but they don’t even hint to why. Makes it sound like shadiness.

The same reasons anyone joins a cult.

Look man this is not up fir debate. Kiffin, Orgeron, Eddie Gran, Lance Thompson, Frank Wilson all NROY guys then Chaney Old man Kiffin, and Willie Mack they were hand picking guys and were not here long at all and had the class they had. Please on this staff you hv CJP and Tee as NROY guys and that's it. I don't gv a damn about abook i was around and saw the giys who camped and took OVs. We haven't seen anything close to that staff my friend. This staff hasmore teachers than anything which is what is needed due to the elite kids not really wanting to rebuild but having that wanting to win now mentality.
You left of Neid. Recruiter of the year.

I remember hearing about that dream team and what they were supposed to do. Didn't do much but make me a nervous wreck that we were going to get the death penalty. Thank goodness it was only one year with few sanctions because they were definitely being watched by the NCAA. Haven't heard too much about their recruiting prowess since. I guess USC warned Kiffin not to get them in any more trouble, and Saban kept such a tight leash on him he couldn't get far away from him on the sideline. Orgeron hopefully will get LSU in some trouble soon because everyone knows how dirty he is, and LSU is surely on the list to watch now. I don't keep up with other teams much, but the rest haven't made a big enough splash for me to hear anything except Chaney of course. They sure did know how to build hype and work the media though. I think it is much more impressive that a "nobody" from a team no one was talking about because of a 4 then a 5 win season managed to get ROY last year. I guess I think it's up for debate.

More to it than that. A Memphis kid all about TX AM? There are other closer options that are winning more than us like bama etc. he isn’t some seeming lock to them. There’s more here somewhere
One thing is the momentum they are building with this year's class especially on offense, and Jimbo can sell his national championship as a head coach plus that they can win bigger faster than Tennessee.

But Jimbo is going to get hammered by the NCAA again and leave Texas A&M in the dirt like he did with FSU.

That would be nice. When did he get hammered by the NCAA? I'm sure Saban has them on him and LSU already. I was just saying what the attraction is for recruits.

That's an asinine argument. Only J Johnson was that weight. Trey Smith, Drew Richmond, Ryan Johnson, Jerome Carvin, Riley Locklear, etc. were all well over 300lbs.

No matter how you slice it, the OL was ass and Friend didnt make any improvement as the season progressed.

Im a massive homer and believe in this staff to a fault, but Friend underachieved at UGA for years, and based on the zero improvement he made in year one I'm going to be critical.

I think this staff is the best in a decade by a country mile, but Friend is a sub par recruiter and a weak developer of talent, and I will maintain that stance until he proves me wrong. Hope he does.

You conveniently glossed over the lack of S&C, which is clearly the bigger issue, but carry on.

Lol come on. You act like they've never lifted a weight before Fitz. Butch's program was poor, but these former 4 and 5 star recruits were missing blitzes, whiffing on blocks, letting guys straight through, and getting JG killed -- which is not a S&C issue. They looked lost.

Also, it's not me nitpicking, they were legitimately the worst line in the country. Friend deserves criticism.

Are you his daughter or something? The original question was who on staff is subpar or something like that. I submitted Friend. Chill.

LOL @ the “Will Friend Sucks” fan club. People expect him to make chicken salad out of chicken sh*t in year one.

Not quite. Pass rush wasn't good enough to be sure, but we did rate above national average on Pass Down Sack Rate and giving up 2 sacks/game is average. Yes, Run blocking was really bad. That is where we rated dead last in FBS in the Stuff Rate (also rated dead last in Butch's last year, so this staff INHERITED this problem, not created it). But that is largely a strength issue if you can't even push the pile 1 yard. That will come with this extra year of strength and beefing up.

WF was handed the problem. You can criticize him if you want, but if you really thought such a big, systemic issue would be fixed in 8 months, that's on you.

Are you also going to pile it on Pruitt for only winning 5 games in year 1? There's no difference.
