'18 TN OL/DL Cade Mays (Transfer)

Ron - would mind posting what AP actually said?

Someone said he heard from a source that Cade was coming to UT and asked Price to confirm. Price said, “I’d imagine he goes thru spring ball at UGA”

Follow up, Will he still be at UGA in fall? Price replied, “I don’t know.”

Then later...
Poster said, some can’t handle he chose UGa over UT and Price replied...

“But will he finish with them?”

AP be like...

So

Wanya LT
Trey LG
Kennedy C
Mays RG/RT
Wright RT/RG

That's uhh 4 5*s and a 6th year player 👀

Oh myyy that has to be the best OL in the country, at least on paper.
What the heck do *s have to do with it? Call me when we start getting those tough 3rd and 2ytg first downs on the reg against defenses with a pulse.

Wanya and Darnell still have a long way to go.

I mean I get the sentiment, but how do you look at those 5 players and not think that would be awesome to have this season?

I didn't say that..I would love for that to happen...I am just saying that expecting true dominant (not just against the UABs of the world..oh wait..) OL play this coming season based on stars is a recipe for disappointment. Wanya and Wright are going to be great I think..but they have a long way to go to become truly dominant...IMO.

I will say they very well could take a gigantic leap after going through another off season of S&C and practice...I hope so. I can't wait to see us bulldozing good teams for first downs that know we are running it.

Agreed, pass protection was much better this season. However, run blocking left a lot to be desired.

I would think after both got 13 games of experience and going through a full offseason together they have a good chance to both make big improvements.
