Actually now that I think about it didn't Mays have an injury/surgery that kept him from going to the opening? Doubt he had time to get inshape. It is really hard for linemen to get in game shape before the season as is.

I didn't see the game but he looked pretty dominant in those Hudl highlights.

Obviously, they're called highlights for a reason, though. :)

The post you quoted was referring to his defensive abilities. I can tell you now he wouldn't go DIII if you were basing it on his defense. He was clearly only out there to take up space. Even then, it was a swiss cheese D line.

As for his O, he's good. Wasn't as dominant as I was expecting. 5 stars and outweighs every Rebel by at least 40 lbs. He should have mauled his guy on every play. He didn't. Disregard my take on it if you'd like. I don't really care. Just relaying what I saw.

Not only was he dominant, especially in run blocking, but anytime they needed to convert they would swing pass to the back and he would run a linebacker 15 yds down the field.

That picture of him on the sidelines with his teammates is just impressive. That poor DE that had to go against him woke up sore this morning. Can't wait until UT gets a hold of him in the weight room and conditioning.

It's said Cade is a man among boys in high school and I saw that first hand in his highlights. I'm sure he's gonna be a great one for us but, come on, some of the guys he was man handling looked 50 lbs lighter than him. He threw those guys around like rag dolls. I want to see him working against someone his size. That will be the real test.

Everybody looks 50 lbs lighter up against him. Your not going to find to many DE's in high school his size and if so they would more than likely be playing DT. JMHO

Funny how his highlight reel doesn't show the 4th and 1 where they ran it right up his a$$ and ended up losing a yard. Or the one where he has to jump and grab his man by the waist to keep him from beheading the QB. Two of the penalties on the would be game tying drive for Catholic, he got called for holding in pass pro. His highlights where he's driving his guy into the dirt are awe inspiring. I was expecting to see more of it. Especially considering he had probably 100 lbs on the DE he was going against. Clearly was a very good player. Was expecting more from the best OT in the country, though. That's all.

I've said multiple times he was very good (on offense). Look at the highlights where he's throwing guys around like a rag doll. He was dominant AT TIMES. However, a 5* OT against guys a foot shorter than him and 50 to 100 lbs lighter than him, in my opinion, should dominate every play. He didn't. I've never seen a 5* OT prospect in person. Was hoping to be blown away. Was impressed, but not blown away. That's all.

Damn son! This guy is very large and freaking brutal on the field. I haven't seen a video like that in a loooong time.
