'18 TN OL/DL Cade Mays (Transfer)

Odds still heavy in UTs favor for where he plays college football. He has to be prepared because of the uncertainty.

Doesn't his Dad have to be able to see what's going on and understand why Butch needs to go, regardless of the fact that he is a good guy and they are friends with him?

Hopefully we can keep him onboard

247 getting roasted, especially CallousedHand. Mays had no comment except to say that his plans are with his family - but the 247 article headline was as such:

Five-star OL, longtime Vols commit Mays responds to rumors

Five-star offensive lineman Cade Mays, a longtime Tennessee commitment, responds to recent rumors about the status of his recruitment

Everyone screaming click bait, but the CallousedHand is doing all he can to defend....

Based on?

He is an early enrolee and with the new signing day that is in December. He says he doesn't even know who his coach is going to be so is done with TN. He is actually going to Clemson this weekend and that is his new team. Visiting a couple others also. The only way we save him is with a big splash coaching change soon. Consider him gone.

Commit to a school not coach.

Always

Man I used to agree with this, but there is too much at stake. It's VERY important who your coach is if you have NFL aspirations. I know some people say it doesn't matter, but it matters.

Not to say that the school isn't the most important part, but you can't just take the coach out of the equation.

With that said, hopefully we have a really good hire finalized in time to get Cade and the others back on board.

You make this argument a lot but the biggest reason those guys went to the NFL was because they were just that talented.

What about the guys who didn't get developed properly and there chances are ruined??
