Mays isn't the average Tennessee commitment. Knoxville native and a Tennessee legacy who has already been committed for over 2 years? I still think we hold on to him but once a decision on Butch's future is made, it must be announced. We can't have two months of uncertainty.
Yep. All these kids will likely open it back up and have a good backup plan if they don't like the new coach. Don't blame them at all. I would advise my kids to do the same. Hopefully Currie has a new HC hired soon after Bama (if not sooner).
? How is he going to have a new coach hired by Bama? I assume you mean behind the scenes?
They aren't hiring a guy that has already been in trouble with the NCAA and had an 18 month show cause. As one person from the AD said, Pearl and Martin was an embarrassment for UT sports, they will do all they can not to let that happen. I assumed he was referencing Petrino but that would cover Kelly as well.

Maybe so, we'll see in December
I agree he may (probably) sign, but you guaranteed he wouldn't decommit. Thing is, we don't know why. Either he is upset that Butch (who he is close to) is going to get fired, so he needs to find a place or he decommited to help force Butch out, which means he will come back with a new coach.
