Clemson, OSU, Bama, Georgia eat our lunch in recruiting.

Oh well, what can you do? Id take our coaches versus anyone else in nation.

Clemson finished 11th and we finished 14th in HS recruiting last year.

When you take transfers into account, we finished 13th and Clemson finished 15th.

Bama, OSU, and Georgia eat everyone's lunch. Two of three have multiple national championships in the last 7 years or so. With it being a 12-team playoff we will have to make a splash there before we can compete with those three year in and year out.

So it’s fine for the out of state schools to offer late, but the in-state school had better be on a recruit since junior high school, or it’s a major black eye. Makes sense.
West Virginia, Clemson, Ole Miss, Vandy, MICHIGAN, Alabama, etc. had far more contact and showed more interest initially. We were late to the party. Nic was a lot more disappointed than mad. Y’all are painting with a wide brush…

I think Bama's on their way down. They won't be a stumbling block in the future.

Bama’s staff is a step down from where they’ve been. Also, Bama’s staff has never experienced life in the SEC or recruiting in the South.
I don’t put a lot of stock in that. Folks said that about Urban Meyer when he went to Florida. Saban had never coached in the South until he went to LSU. Both of those coaches dominated the SEC. DeBoer looks like a fantastic coach.

It would be very difficult for any coach to match Saban though. I think the most interesting factor will be to see what DeBoer does without Grubb.

Alabama without Saban is Auburn

Of the instate kids left this has to be the biggest want for me. This year's Oline class has to be elite. Sanders, Petty, and Nic would set us up for a long time.
Last years was elite as well.
We’ve been pretty solid all across the board except at CB in terms of recruiting.

Once you add in Lance you could argue it was elite. But truly we only had 1 guy who was a top 100 guy coming out of high school.

i wasn’t considering him at all actually, but yes he was a huge pickup from the portal.

I don’t give much care to rankings. They have their use but people literally start to believe star rankings = talent.

And so if they get bumped to a higher star they suddenly become more talented hahaha. (You all know who I’m talking about) it’s ridiculous.

So we’re getting him, right? Also, so Dabo is so triggered by us that he won’t offer if he suspects them as being Vol leans. That’s a good sign for Heupel that he is scared that we’ve basically replaced them in the pecking order right behind UGA and Bama as a recruiting power in the south.
