'24 TN OL Ronan O’Connell (Clemson commit)

Has he actually committed to Clemson, or are we just speculating?
Speculation…..
but you have to freak out and call for coaches to be fired when a 3 star instate kid ranked in the 600s chooses to go elsewhere…. Clemson didn’t lose their **** when we took the best wr in South Carolina

I’m more pissed about the LB uk got from Tennessee then losing this guy

Gotcha 👍. I must be woefully behind. Who's the LB Kentucky got? And did we recruit him?

It's fair to be critical of Ellerbe's O-line recruiting thus far. But, this class isn't done yet. It's July 1st for crying out loud.

The greater frustration here is that it's an instate recruit.

It's just as fair to praise the development Ellerbe has done with the offensive line.

All can be true. However, I've never seen an offensive guard prospect be what sets a part a recruiting class.

Why is it FAIR to criticize a coaches recruiting or development performance without KNOWLEDGE of the HC’s priorities and evaluations of his efforts? In play and fair are not necessarily in sync.

You're pissed about a guy we didn't offer?

Not saying hes a bad coach, but on the same hand he hasn’t recruited a single starter on the OL yet, unless you count Jeremiah Crawford
It’s only been 2 years if you have young players starting on the OL that’s usually not a recipe for success he has recruited plenty of talented players that I am excited about… Nichols, sham, clipper, my guy from Detroit, will all be good players for us… best OL we’ve had in 20 years last year but he is a liability ? 😂😂 some of our fans have wild takes… our current OL commits look really solid as well.

we just gotta close with some of our higher rated prospects is all. Else, im happy with development. You cant always just have YOUR prototypical guy, attitude and coachability wise. OL is one of those positions where you need talent and some tude.

Gerald Mincey, John Campbell, JJ Crawford, Andre Karic all have a chance to start games this year. OL is very much so a developmental position and he's been here 2 years relax

this

and you could do a whole lot worse than those 4 names. Not sure what all the complaining is about either. Kind of feel like the OL is gonna be better than some think.

Basically these posters criticizing Ellarbe want a staff full of Niedermeyers. OL wise you want a developer over a recruiter 100/100 times.
