@butchna isn't the one here (perhaps unintentionally) convincing VN to fire one of our coaches, so I'm not sure the burden of proof is on him. If I recall correctly King has stated that he doesn't come here stating opinions, so he's the one claiming the facts. And as butchna pointed out, unless he's in the building, he can't be very sure of the "facts" that he's in here posting about our coaches.

I appreciate his info as much as the next guy, when it comes to who/what we're in on. But a look around VN right now may just be convincing enough to caution someone against trashing one of our coaches, especially with a "facts-only" claim.

Speaking as a long-time lurker, the RF has become noticeably more toxic over the last few weeks. There’s a few posters who have taken it upon themselves to arbitrate the “correct” opinions on everything from Elerbee’s job performance to portal recruiting.

My relationship with him, I talk to him a lot, and my communication with him, I can tell his football IQ and knowledge is amazing. Are you implying that someone else created the relationship between Osenda and Elarby? If Osenda is to be believed, they talked and communicated a lot. That seems somewhat contradictory to your statement that you would not give Elarby "any credit".

I guess it's possible. More probable than an anonymous poster just passing along the opinions of others that didn't align with the reality of the situation? Like has been said, everyone will need to decide for themselves.

I have given an opinion about the benefit of posts; not tried to censor anyone. I am looking critically at the supposed "facts" posted by anonymous message board posters. Critical thinking is rarely a bad thing.

Like I said, I appreciate King and the recruiting info he's brought. I hope he continues to do so. But if one slows down and really considers some of the Elarbee posts, it gets a bit confusing.

He said that Elarbee does the bare minimum, but that bare minimum seems to have been a notable factor in this high profile commit. He says that Elarbee does the bare minimum, but it was apparently enough to create a relationship that the recruit values. He says that other people did all the work, but the recruit claims ongoing communication with Elarbee as a huge reason he signed here. He says he's not sharing opinions, just calling balls and strikes, but then says that he's just repeating the "sentiments" of other people. And "sentiment" is a synonym for "opinion". When asked about that, he doubles down.

And whose word do we take on this particular recruitment and whether Elarbee gets some credit for it? An anonymous board member that's partially admitted that they're basically just sharing the opinions of unnamed sources who may or may not have an axe to grind? Or the recruit himself?

Based on all of your posts in this thread on the matter, you seem to be under some impression that KingVFL is almost explicitly responsible for any negative perception of Elarbee’s performance to date, and that if he would simply stop posting what he hears the toxicity levels would decrease.

Our fanbase may be passionate and crazy, but they can form their own opinions and I would surmise that most people that have a negative opinion of Elarbee has nothing to do with “insiders” and has everything to do with the struggles of the position on the field.
