We like insider information that’s positive, but anything neutral or negative tends to see the messenger put through the wringer. People have different ideas about what should and shouldn’t be discussed online but we’re fanatics deep within a sub forum. I don’t see an issue with the current level of discourse as I think the University of Tennessee Athletic Department is robust enough to manage despite what we’re discussing here. I’d rather us not chase out good info because we don’t agree with it.
Yeah maybe that’s the lesson for me here. Just post good stuff.

Anyway I’ve probably said more than I should. Be well guys.

Stick around. Some of us appreciate what you bring, good or bad. We're all adults, here...we can figure out for ourselves what to do with the info you bring. Some will believe it, others won't. C'est la vie.

I’d say.. it’s likely Osenda doesn’t even know the full behind the scenes on this from our side. Lot of unnecessary drama.
I guess I don't understand. You say that you'd give Elarbee no credit. The recruit himself gives Elarbee a lot of credit, and specifically names the relationship Elarbee created with him.

“He was probably one of my deciding factors was that he is such a great coach,” Osenda said of Elarbee. “Just seeing what he has done with the linemen they have now and the tackles they have now, I can really see he has developed these guys, and they are doing something great there. My relationship with him, I talk to him a lot, and my communication with him, I can tell his football IQ and knowledge is amazing. Because I am going there, I am going to get developed and be the best I can be at Tennessee.”

Are you implying that someone else created the relationship between Osenda and Elarby? If Osenda is to be believed, they talked and communicated a lot. That seems somewhat contradictory to your statement that you would not give Elarby "any credit".

If only you knew.. wouldn’t give Glen any credit here

Considering Osenda is giving him lots of credit.

I can't really share more. Trust me or don't.

You cut a check and people will say what they are told to say.

These are not my opinions. I don’t really want to debate the definition of an opinion vs a fact but I’m really just sharing the sentiment the people that live this.
OK. They're other peoples' opinions, as opposed to you having seen balls and strikes to call.

I have nothing personal against Elarbee. Nice guy.. just calling balls and strikes.

Let it go dude. Tifwiw and move on, believe it or not. He shares good info regardless if someone wants to accept it or not. I understand you aren’t trying to be a dick btw.

Please know that your contributions to this board are greatly appreciated and not everyone wants a completely sanitized perspective on our program. Keep bringing all of the info, good and bad. We’re adults and can choose to react to that info how we want.

EDIT: looks like @cncchris33 said basically the same thing as me. I need to learn to finish reading the thread before posting 😅

You cut a check and people will say what they are told to say.
So, you think that the staff laid down an ultimatum to this recruit, "Blow smoke up Elarbee's *** or we won't take you; we'll gladly drop down our recruiting board"?

I guess it's possible. More probable than an anonymous poster just passing along the opinions of others that didn't align with the reality of the situation? Like has been said, everyone will need to decide for themselves.

Yah. Let's just cheer on the posts that publicly pull our coach's pants down and boo-hiss anything that questions the process of doing so. That'll fix the toxicity around here.

You have complete control of your ignore button.
So do you.

I love the irony of posts like this.

What authority placed you in charge of monitoring Recruiting Forum toxicity levels? Follow your own advice and ignore it if you don't like it. Your efforts to control and censor what you don't like are futile. You seem smart enough to realize that.
