'25 TN QB George MacIntyre (Tennessee commit)

From Rivals:

The top target for the 2025 class at quarterback for Alabama is now George MacIntyre and the feeling is that the Crimson Tide could be way out in front.

Tennessee, LSU, UCLA, Auburn and Michigan are some others to watch and the Vols could drastically step it up with the Brentwood (Tenn.) Brentwood Academy standout now that Knight is off to Notre Dame but MacIntyre was back in Tuscaloosa recently and it looks like the Crimson Tide lead.

A tall, long, athletic quarterback who looked very good at the Steve Clarkson QB Retreat over the offseason, MacIntyre has all the tools to be special in the SEC. If Alabama gets Sayin and then MacIntyre in 2024 and 2025, coach Nick Saban’s QB problems should be no more.
Groce.

You are probably correct in that. However, I do know that a majority of the posters felt
we would get Ty simply because he was a Tenn product.

I personally do not want to lose another 5* qb to Bama.

1) 99.99% of posters on this anonymous message board would have no idea who we are getting

2) that 5* QB is 3rd string on a team with QB struggles. He would be 3rd strong here as well. Rather inconsequential he went to Bama

Simpson might get a shot to start at bammer, or he might not. He seems competitive.
I don’t think he is that bad, but he is a statue and that OL cannot support a statue QB. They have to go with Milroe.
I would expect Simpson to be a popular target by the portal poachers. He is going to be recruited over pretty quickly.

What has happened to BA? In my 25+ years following HS football, I can’t remember ever seeing them lose this many games.

They're young and they play a lot of good teams.

Don’t they load up on 5 star OL every recruiting class? Thought that was all that was needed. 🤔

😆 the gurus think it’s all that matters, but they haven’t been producing. That’s all that really matters. I think Simpson could still be good. It just doesn’t like it’s going to be at Bama
