Lol. In all reality though, he’ll have a decent chance to be third on the depth chart to what I presume is his dream school. That’s a pretty big deal as a freshman.

No chance as a freshman. Gaston Moore will be QB3 this year. This fall will be his 4th season playing for Heupel.

Walk-ons may be all you can count on for depth at the quarterback position in this new era. We are doing quite well in that department it seems.

I could see one of these type guys being a hero down the line, closing out a game when our starter has to sit for a possible concussion or something.

Almost wonder if the Stetson Bennett strategy was just ahead-of-its-time. With NIL, transfer portal, evolution of the game, it's difficult to keep more than 2 elite SEC-level QB / QB prospects on your roster. So getting a bunch of high-quality PWOs may be the way to go. With Moore, Shuler, and Damron, we now have at least 3 that could probably play for G5 / FCS school.
