Can’t you be both and feel the same way
Opinions and a##holes, everyone has themIf you’re a highly rated recruit you don’t turn down a school just bc you’re a fan of another team. Especially when the one you want them to turn down is the best program in college football, wins more championships and puts more players in the league than anyone else and the team you’re a fan of is on it’s 6th different HC since 2007.
Yes. And bottom line is good players want to play with the best (players). If you’re a highly rated recruit you don’t turn down a school just bc you’re a fan of another team. I think people that share your opinion are also prone to discount the idea that these kids aren’t 40+ year old men with half a lifetime, or more, of dedication to fandom of a particular program. These are 16-18 year olds who are largely still in their formative years and the team they are a fan of has only held their conscious loyalty for 6-8 years, at most. They’ve also never seen Tennessee be any good on the field in their life, while Bama has dominated without fail. Any parent that would dissuade their child from the best opportunity to develop their talent because of stubborn fandom is doing their child a great disservice. See Elbert Couch (father of Tim) as an example. Can’t you be both and feel the same way
When you see what QB’s that are stacked at Clemson and Bama why would you not go to UT. He has a better chance of making the field at UT with a new coach and an offense that fits him.
Great answer and you are correctI think people that share your opinion are also prone to discount the idea that these kids aren’t 40+ year old men with half a lifetime, or more, of dedication to fandom of a particular program. Tennessee’s incompetence has made Dabo Swinney look like a real football coach. Boyd, Lawrence and now Simpson? Are you freakin kidding me?
Dude I hate Dabo but it’s kinda hard to hate on his coaching ability. He built that thing and his record speaks for itself.
And again and I can’t stress this enough, I can’t stand the guy.
Conspiracy theory time: There is no inclement weather scheduled for the date of his announcement

...................but he could easily be like Tua's little brother; riding the bench.Difference in fan mentality and a player making a business decision. It is what is, and he can't approach it like Bama isn't an option just because he is a Tennessee fan when Bama is literally the absolute best option for most any elite high school football player, right now. It sucks, but it is just reality.
