I think the bust probability is higher than many want to believe with him, but if he is the coaches' preference, I hope he comes here and blows the doors off the league. I just won't be taken completely by surprise if he eventually flames out much like Hunter Johnson.

Four-star quarterback Ty Simpson of Westview High School in Martin, Tenn., had another good trip to Tennessee and is still giving the Vols strong consideration, sources said, coming off his junior season. Simpson has recently visited Clemson, Alabama and Ole Miss, too. But he now has been to three of Tennessee's home games this season, and one source close to his recruitment said no one appears to be in better shape with Simpson than the Vols, although Clemson and Alabama remain legitimate contenders.

I think if we got him it would quell a lot of concern surrounding the program. And for sure I could see others jumping in - we need basically all the Memphis dudes in the ‘22 class.

And I’m no talent evaluator but honestly Ewers looks to be on a different level. Just from what I’ve seen. That’s not saying Simpson isn’t a stud, tho.

Still the most important thing will be putting up Ws next season. Just think if we WERE winning games this season: maybe give Mims and Mondon more to think about, maybe Lewis doesn’t decommit, gotta think we land Green and TID too perhaps. We don’t even have to be elite to start landing more of those guys, we just can’t seem to maintain positive momentum long enough to cash in on it.

If he can’t develop the players and properly manage them it doesn’t matter how good recruiting goes.

Absolute disaster to let Pruitt hang around for the 22 class. You know each and every kid is hearing Pruitt will likely be fired after next season if it doesn't happen this year. Anyone really think these kids from the west end of the state will go against the local pressure and sign with Pruitt under those conditions? When they have so many other stable, winning options to choose from? Hell, I'd point to Henry T in every living room. He took the leap and what has it gotten him? He's regressed. We lost out on the big 3 on our board this year to UGA. The 21 class has started to leak. We're taking chances on more and more 3 star projects....like Pruitt is going to have the time or the skill to develop those players? Pffft..

This is a train wreck in slow motion. You're screaming "STOP", but it doesn't. Watch for Tee and Jay to move on. We'll see more turn over in this years class. Pruitt will bring in a couple of his buddies or some retreads to "change" his staff, but next year will be more of the same. Then our rivals will clean up in our state and we'll be left with a decimated roster and looking for a new coach...again. Of course, it will be another 3-4 year process to restock the roster while Pruitt is being paid by UT to be bama's DC. We'll get to watch him light the damned cigar every october and rub our noses in it. We have the opportunity to bring a guy in who can make some noise with the talent we currently have. Maybe generate some legit buzz instead of the false hope Pruitt is shoveling behind the scenes. That might give us a chance to save the 22 class and steer the UT ship away from another damned iceberg. Of course, this is UT. We all know how this movie ends. The ship sinks...again.

There are several things the detractors can use against Pruitt right now. Im not sure why they keep throwing out HT as the example. Its clear to anyone that has played the game what is going on there.

I have no clue why people try to single him out. His numbers are better and he’s played an all SEC schedule.
