'22 TN QB Ty Simpson (Alabama commit)

You can definitely hear him repeating the lines that UT coaches have told him. Closing the gap. Getting the rivalry back to where it used to be. Players played hard and coaches coached hard. Building back up with the recent recruiting classes.

You can also hear the Clemson pitch - 40 year decision, not 4 year. Everyone associated with Clemson comes back there eventually. It's a freaking cult.

The line about Tuscaloosa was interesting - it's like Martin in that the school and football is the only thing there.

I know this is random, but as it gets closer to his commitment I'd watch for any hints that John Brice drops about Simpson. Brice seems to be pretty connected to the family and the Martin area.

Hopefully if he commits a few stud offensive linemen follow. He can't be impressed with the linemen from the this cycle and last year

From a poster on VQ:

Ty wants to be in Knoxville. I can tell you that with 100% certainty. But we are not helping ourselves. It's really sad to watch. He loves Tennessee and being a Tennessee kid. But we have given him literally nothing. He's been to 3 games and we got demolished all 3 times. I hope he winds up at UT but the situations at Bama and Clemson are so much better. Our saving grace is that he truly believes he can be the one to help get the Vols back to the top and that means alot to him. We shall see what wins out in the end.

I'm going to sound like a jerk here and I apologize, but it doesn't take a real insider or someone close to the situation to make any of those statements with a fairly high degree of certainty. I could have said all the same things on this board and wouldn't know the kid from Adam if he were standing in front of me. But I hope this vague update proves to be true and he ends up here.

Trevor Lawrence recruitment 2.0

It’s a shame these kids had to witness 12 years of mediocrity.

This is what happens when the administration doesn’t take winning seriously. You miss out on tons of talent.

I just hope Pruitt is fired soon.

He developed several of botch jones recruits like warrior and taylor albeit was different coaches on defense. I think he need new oline coach and linebacker coach

I think we just need more/new LBs. We’re pretty thin. Hoping some dudes from the 2020 class can contribute but they’re clearly behind on learning on the D playbook

Since Bama is one of his finalists, what would it do for his recruitment if we were to hire Sarkisian as HC?
