'22 TN QB Ty Simpson (Alabama commit)

The real issue may be with the uncertainty of sanctions? I have no clue but that has to be considered by any prospect Tennessee recruits right now.

There's a lot of time before signing day. He's a lifetime Vol fan and he'll love watching us throwing the ball all over the field.

If he delays, it's a good sign. If he commits, it's pretty much over. I can't think of many instances where kids have committed to Clemson and then changed their mind. There is a lot of pressure by their staff to commit and shut down your recruitment entirely.

Honestly , ready to see horn really. The numbers he put up in Ga and 7A class . Don’t get me wrong would love to have Simpson but I don’t think he ends up here . Lawrence loved Tn and see what happened. Just not the right place at the right time kid of deal. There will be more elite QBs down the road but Horn is elite in his own way as well. If y’all are saying we have to depend on one kid for elite recruiting this year then we are going to be in trouble .

It did last class a couple times for the first time in like 5 years.

There aren’t many. But Korey Foreman did it in ‘21 class.

All the projections nationally are for Clemson and yet Ryan Callahan and VQ have said Bama is the bigger threat.

I think the national guys are leaning Clemson due to them not having any coaching changes but I think Callahan and VQ are likely right on this one.

I read somewhere that Notre Dame was a bigger threat than UT so I really don't think anybody has a clue. Clemson just seems like a safe bet, that's why people are choosing them.

For just about anyone one the football planet, it's a given that Heupel develops QBs and they succeed at the next level. The place for Simpson is the Vols. That's why Bama and Clemson are putting pressure on him to commit. I'm sure they're using the line that he better get his spot before someone else takes it. Plus the negative recruiting about the NCAA sanctions. If I were Simpson, I would take my time and find the best fit. Don't let them rush into a bad decision. Look at how many QBs are in the transfer portal. Lots of bad decisions out there.

Exactly what I was thinking and I think this applies across the board. Just like with the guys who committed to Michigan I feel like the state is being attacked hard by other programs to take advantage of the turmoil and uncertainty.
