I think you're thinking of blue-shirting. You can't blueshirt after official visiting. So you can't walk on and be put on scholarship at the beginning of your freshman year if you OV.

They can greyshirt. All that involves is delaying your enrollment til January and counting against the next season’s class. Hard sell to better talent, but Bama has snapped up some 4 stars that way.

DeSean Bishop is a name that continues to resurface at the tailback position. He will be over on campus next weekend for Memorial day. It will be a big visit for him in our opinion.

My son is a freshman on that Karns team. They plan on limiting his touches to around 30 this season so he’s fresher for the fourth quarter and later in the season. So that’s good news.

It's easier said than done. Coaches may try to limit, but they won't have another player like him for a LONG time, so that 30 number is gonna be tough to stick to. I hope for his sake though they do limit him. Kid has a bright future somewhere if he can keep the miles off.
