I'm no insider, but AP eluded as to why at least UT backed off on him.
It's probably the same reasons others did.

Way too much tread off his tires already. A high school back shouldn't be getting anymore than 200 carries regular season.

App St RBs usually have big years rushing. Had 2 RBs with almost 1000 yards. Nate Noel had 1128 and Camerun Peoples had 926 yards rushing.

Not sure why he did not have more bigtime committable offers. He, his family and Coach must have been convinced CC was a shot he should take this early.

A little while ago Hyams had a pretty good interview with him and he sounds like a solid kid, prepared to do whatever he can to help his teammates win a game. Did mention towards the end in passing he had opportunities to go elsewhere, but he liked the coaches and the players at Karns. No further details of hints. After the fact one speculated other local schools while the other places like IMG. Only the Shadow knows.

But the number of plays each game was kicked around diplomatically on both sides. He did admit he sometimes got tired after ten straight carries. Not so much after 80 yard runs. Go figure. Would like to set the state records, one specifically held by Hurd. Seems like I remember the majority of his linemen were seniors, so it could be tougher this year.

I don't think his recruiting has been very transparent.
I would guess it was his best. And it's a pretty good offer.

Still wish he was wearing orange, we are signing and recruiting some not quite as highly rated as Bishop, and he lives in the shadow of Neyland Stadium. Maybe he is more sure of playing time at coastal, and already been stated Conway is a really nice town.

Peoples is a beast and is crazy athletic, he’s always at the SRC dunking on people lol
