How is Gray high caliber? Small had better rushing stats.

Wouldn't necessarily be opposed to Gray coming back but I personally think we are good at RB. Could always use the depth but if we can stay healthy I think Williams will be 1a by the end of the season. I think that kid is going to beast out.

I think he’ll be good but Freshman often times struggle with pass pro. Maybe why they’ve been looking for a RB transfer (Gibbs, Evans, etc)

Also, we played 5-6 RBs regularly last year so more the merrier

I like the guy, I like all Memphis kids who choose UT over Ole Piss. I just think Small has better burst and wiggle on the third level. And I feel Wright has better frame and more top end speed. Truth be told it got frustrating watching Ty and Eric run straight to the safety and become an automatic tackle.

Because it's a moot point now.
He's transferring as a Grad into the NIL era.

So the past transgression is null and void now.

Most of us liked grey a lot. But it was just a $hit show at the end of the Pruitt era. So hard to blame the kids that left. If grey wants to come back I think that would be great. Now, I’m not sure he’ll help us much. He’ll be behind some talented kids who all have a head start on him. But if he’s not afraid of the competition and the coaching staff wants him, bring him on. I guarantee we’ll get behind him. Say what you want about vol fans but we love and respect our players with the best of them.

Gray was deficient at pass pro in two seasons in Knoxville and didn’t look improved last season imo.
