That was a request because he wants to play and had lost the trust with the staff due to fumbling. He will be back at RB in the spring.

I do not like him as a LB. He was not viewed well by many others here during the course of the 2018 season because of the fumbling issues. I was on the record that he had the most upside of any of the other running backs on our roster but was lambasted for several days when I made that post.

You may be right, but he will wind up at LB next year, and I suspect he will get a lot better with a spring full of reps. It suites his aggressive personality.

I really wanted him at lb.....i do think he's a beast rb...and regardless of other posters comments this kid playas with fire, with an edge not many of our kids play with

I just believe he is too small for an SEC linebacker. Listed at 211 and it may be hard for him to bulk up to 230/240 SEC caliber linebacker weight and still retain his athleticism and speed.

The emotion is what’s been missing from this team.. He brings a fire that is contagious.

I think he lets it take over and loses his focus. I think it's the reason he did not see the field more. A fire can warm the whole house or burn it down, it must be controlled.

Bottom line on stars, we all want the stud 5 stars who turn into nfl players. We also want all the 3 stars who turn into cam Sutton, etc.

It’s a message board and it’s where I come to keep tabs, celebrate and especially complain when things inevitably don’t go the vols way. I’m sure I’m not the only one.

I see no evidence that the culture changed in the games, especially the last two.

That was lip service to support the move. Moving him to LB obviously made no difference in how our LBs played in the final stretch. Banks can be a great physical RB. A perfect compliment to Gray. I hope that is where he is come spring.

Top 5 will come..this class will be at the forefront of eliminating losing to the Vandys, Mizzous and Kentuckys of the world..once that happens...top 5 WILL come. We have to leapfrog the bottom of the SEC before we can get back to the top..that is just a fact of our existence at this point.

Very good point. Some seem to be focused on recruiting a level high enough so we can beat bama and georgia and anything less is a giant failure, when we have had troubles beating those on our schedule that we have more talent than and have been beaten up by over the past 10 years. Steps...................but also steps we have been trying to make for a while, hopefully this class and last years class are on the way to make those steps.

I posted it yesterday:: we're probably going to end up with a class similar to Clemson's, and they have been in the CFP four straight yrs, while we have gone 9-15 over the last two.

It's absurd for anyone to feel "stung" or disappointed about our class.
