'20 TN RB Tee Hodge (UT SIGNEE)

I like Tee and wonder why Tennessee hasn’t offered AJ Davis or at least threw out a PWO spot. Kid is shifty and just finds the end zone

This guy’s highlights were weird and unexpected based on his ranking and what I’ve read throughout his recruitment. I expected more between the tackles physical running.

Wasn’t a ton of that. He’s faster than I expected. Follows blocks well. A lot of his plays were really well blocked though.

His highlights were definitely better than his ranking.

We got a back that should help in pass pro immediately. Shift runner but not a true bulldozer. Good quickness and patience. Good reciever out of the backfield.

He will improve our offense.

This kids ranking hasn’t changed on 247 since January of last year 🤷‍♂️. They haven’t evaluated anything of his in 2019. Weird

Too many kids...not enough time to give proper eval.

This is why so many kids "blossom " in college. Because they were already good but didn't get scouted hard enough for then to receive the hype...

A caller on The Swain Event this morning made me laugh. He was trying to make the case that Tee Hodge could be as good as if not better than Zach Evans.

Now, I really like Hodge's game, but...come on now.

Truthfully nobody knows. He might could or he may never play any meaningful time as a Vol. Until each recruit gets on campus, nobody has a clue how each will turn out.

Yeah, every year, there are a bunch that the recruiting services never bother to re-evaluate. Maurer was one of those from last year's class. Had an amazing Senior year, but they just kept him at 3 stars as if nothing ever happened. His last 'rating change' according to 247 was 7/31/2018, a month before the start of his Senior season.

I'm actually pleasantly surprised that the re-evaluated as many as they did for the 2020 class, but they still missed a bunch of players.

Todd Gurley was a 4 star in 2012. Fellow signee Keith Marshall was a 5 star...which one do we remember?

But!.... we have to listen to the "we HAVE to recruit better " continuously. So it is in our best interest to have our signed recruits ranked as highly as they possibly can be.

It's not implausible. I've felt like Hodge was one of the most underrated players in this class for awhile. Doubly so now that guys like Jalin Hyatt and Morven Joseph have finally been given ratings boosts.

A very sizable percentage of NFL Running Backs are former 3-stars that most big programs ignored.

While I'd love to pull Evans, it's pretty obvious to everyone he comes with his own set of issues. Could be a superstar, but could just as easily be Bryce Brown 2.0.
