But realize that if someone moves all the offensive players to defense, he has to have someone play offense.He's around 270-275 right now? We have some mammoth OT prospects that don't remotely translate to defense at all. It doesn't make sense to have a kid with his motor and potential on defense to be buried on the depth chart while he adds weight and learns the tackle position.
What if there’s another “dude capable” who’s not only more will but better overall? And if he’s top 2 on the depth chart on defense that’s more valuable than further down the bench on offense. Jauan was highly CAPABLE of playing safety and most of us projected him there. Doesn’t seem like a mistake him bossing at WR in retrospect.Anytime you find a dude capable of playing LT, you play him at LT.
It's the hardest position to recruit. Not QB. LT.
You can put many types at the DE position in multiple fronts, but LT specifically is a much harder spot to fill.
